Life has changed, time to change with it!

Hi, I am 50 years old, single, mother of 2 girls, (one here on this earth and one in Heaven now) I went from being a full time police officer to a stay at home Mom after the birth of my second child. At that time I gained up to 250 lbs.

After losing about 70 lbs my 9 year old daughter died suddenly and I began to use food as my comfort again, gaining a lot of weight back.

As of 2011, I am now rid of the weight I gained after her death, plus some. I still have about 10 more to go, but look what has changed for me now that I have decided that I am worth taking care of:

1) got certified to teach as a group fitness instructor in
Turbo Kick, Hip Hop Hustle, Pilates, Muscle conditioning, Yoga, and have become a personal trainer!

2) got a job doing these things and helping others!

3) tell my story as often as possible to encourage others that no matter what life throws at you, you can do it!

4) become a positive influence on my younger daughter and do so many more active things with her than before!

These things can't be measured with a scale or with a tape, my life has changed, I have taken the sadness and used that energy for positive. I hope my story will inspire others, you can do it - you are worth it...
believe it! Get support and go for it!

Thank you for your kind words!

I'm good with directions, but the end of “Dogwood Ridge” is really crazy complicated. I found and ran by where the cut over to the lake *used to be*. :-) Then I got lost. Somehow... I ran past the lake unknowingly, and ended up on the main road very close to the fence across the road and the upper parking lot! No way!!! I’m not done yet!!!!!! So I ran back up (walked a good bit of the hill) the road over the top and back past the lake to the Deer Hollow Trail so I could get back on my route. I ran a bunch of Deer Hollow (next to last trail), and almost all of Poe Run Overlook (the last trail). It was good to finish strong!
