I have been watching several food documentaries that talk about how a whole-foods plant based diet improves health and fights disease. I just discovered the book "Eat to Live" and it really makes sense to me. I am starting the plan July 9, 2012 (Monday) I'm really excited about it!

I live in the OKC Metro area.

I'm single, in my 40's, no kids...just dogs. :-)

I meant to ask - what are you using in your coffee? I cut way down, but have not been able to quite completely. Proud of myself for drinking only 1/2 to 3/4 (and now using iced coffee). BUT - tried coconut milk and almond milk (EWWW). The coffee mate seems too unhealthy also. Eventually, I'll just give it up altogether, but not quite ready yet.

Hi there, Lisa :). I hope you're having a wonderful weekend. Thanks for your kind comments. In the interest of full disclosure - I had lost 20 pounds earlier this year, but gained it back due to emotional eating. That is my achilles heel! I started ETL 10 days ago and am amazed at the changes I've already seen. What I love most is that I'm not craving and I actually feel my hunger again. Looking forward to cheering each other on!
