Getting This Done, Gently and Effectively

Hi, there! I'm Lisa. Here's the summarized version of my long and harrowing weight journey:

- Got pudgy in middle school.
- Lost weight by eating whatever and going to the gym in my early 20's.
- Gained weight back when I had a job with lots of travel and not enough fresh food or opportunity for movement.
- Lost 60 pounds on Sparkpeople.
- Got lazy and gained a little back.
- Went insanely low-carb and lost some again.
- Took on a stressful job ...
Hi, there! I'm Lisa. Here's the summarized version of my long and harrowing weight journey:

- Got pudgy in middle school.
- Lost weight by eating whatever and going to the gym in my early 20's.
- Gained weight back when I had a job with lots of travel and not enough fresh food or opportunity for movement.
- Lost 60 pounds on Sparkpeople.
- Got lazy and gained a little back.
- Went insanely low-carb and lost some again.
- Took on a stressful job and gained all 60 pounds back... and they brought friends.
- Tried extreme diets and stuck around the same weight no matter what I tried. Got swallowed up in dietary dogma so my eating and thinking got incredibly disordered.
- Learned about metabolism and decided to heal myself by eating all foods freely. Gained a lot of weight in the process, but repaired my relationship with food.
- On to the next challenge: losing all the weight in a healthy way.

...so that's where I am now! Since I dealt with my disordered eating and no longer see food as the enemy, I waited until I knew I was ready to try and lose weight again.

My Goals:
# Lose 1-2 pounds per week.
# Fit in my bridesmaid dress on 12/20/13. It's a tad snug in the waist right now.
# Weigh 150 pounds by February 2015.

My Program:
- At least 10 minutes of cardio daily.
- Strength train 3X/week
- Eat when I'm hungry
- Drink when I'm thirsty
- Never call food "good" or "bad" unless I'm referring to taste.
- Slightly more lenient version of the South Beach Diet.
