Be the Change!!!!!!

Hi there! My name is Lisa. I re-read my old introduction and it sounded fake. I was trying very hard to prove to myself that I was happy and I honestly was not. It has taken me the 1 1/2 years (with the help of the YMCA & my therapist) to really be happy and get happier with myself . My new motto is "Be the change", it is a shortened Ghandi quote. Hi there! My name is Lisa. I re-read my old introduction and it sounded fake. I was trying very hard to prove to myself that I was happy and I honestly was not. It has taken me the 1 1/2 years (with the help of the YMCA & my therapist) to really be happy and get happier with myself . My new motto is "Be the change", it is a shortened Ghandi quote. One morning in Sept 2011, I WOKE UP.....I was just tired of complaining about being sad, depressed, angry, heavy, insert next complaint here and so on. I was literally sick of hearing myself. I signed up for the YMCA weight loss program. I am more active than ever, my self esteem and self confidence have increased 100%, and I actually can stand to look at myself in the mirror. I am down about 50 lbs, I am at 216.5. I have donated all my size 18, 20 and 2X clothes. I am proud of myself, that is the first time in my life that I have said that and could honestly mean it.

My Goals:
To be a happy healthy me. Eat more fish, fruits and veggies, avoid hummus and pizza as much as possible. Exercise 4-5 times a week.

My Program:
YMCA weight loss program. (Watch my fat and calories). Food is fuel.

Personal Information:
Just in this for me. I deserve to be happy and healthy. :)

Other Information:
I love New Orleans, movies, books, camping, hiking, hanging with my family and I love great music.
I am a receptionist/assistant at a non-profit hearing institute.

Lisa, I sure wish I knew how to help. I wish we all came with "reboot" buttons, like our computers. Go ahead and make your grocery list, menus and exercise plans for the week. Do we need another coffee date minus the coffee, add walking? emoticon
