I am tired of not being completely involved with life. Being overweight keeps me insulated from the world, and although 'safe' - it is just too lonely!
I saw a picture once, in a support group meeting, and it had the coolest saying on it. The picture was a ship and doggonit I don't remember if it was at the docks or out to sea. But the saying was about how ships at the dock are safe but never get to see the ocean......that's so not it.
But you get the drift.

Tracking food every day.

Walk one mile every couple/few days - as rotten foot allows.
MOVE MORE! Like, throughout the day - grab opportunities to dance, pace, bounce around, etc.
Search SP for muscle-building exercises I can do and bookmark them.
Want to get back into doing yoga, if I can. Will take one of my walking days to try my DVD. *fingers crossed*
Personal Information:
I'm from Dallas, but, living in Alabama now. I'm a mom of three teens --boy-19, boy-18, and girl-16. Married for 20 years. Got a super cool 120 lb. dog who loves to walk with me - yea! And his doc put him on a diet, too! Haha!
UPDATE - he has a *very* bad hip and I have a broken foot, so we don't get to walk as much now!
UPDATE - Puppy only walks our property now. Even itty bitty walks get him to hurtin' too much. I, on the other hand, am just trying to take short walks.
