You can't change the past...
...but you can certainly create a new future! I want so much out of life. A love for life, time with my family, time for myself, a rewarding career (a girls gotta work!), a nice home and excitement! I have some of these but I'm missing the love of life and excitement and it's because of my weight. I need to make a change. I know how to lose weight, most of us do, but it's making the decision to make a complete lifestyle change versus just trying to lose weight that will make ...
...but you can certainly create a new future! I want so much out of life. A love for life, time with my family, time for myself, a rewarding career (a girls gotta work!), a nice home and excitement! I have some of these but I'm missing the love of life and excitement and it's because of my weight. I need to make a change. I know how to lose weight, most of us do, but it's making the decision to make a complete lifestyle change versus just trying to lose weight that will make the difference this time around! To help me make a lifestyle change, I have signed up for a 5K in May. My goal is to run half of it and walk when necessary and then to sign up for another one in the fall and run the entire distance. I know I can do it but it will take training and committment on my part. UPDATE: I ran my first 5K! I enjoyed it and I was so happy that morning. My family (DH, DD and DS) was at the finish line to watch me reach the goal I set for myself in January - I can't think of a better way to instill the power of setting goals for yourself and attaining them then to have them there with me! Weight Loss: 2/25/10 - 9.2 lbs. 3/25/10 - 13.8 lbs 4/22/10 - 18.4 lbs - I beat my goal of 17 lbs. - Happy Dance!! 5/27/10 - 22 lbs gone! 6/24/10 - 23.4 lbs. 7/29/10 - 29.2 lbs. 8/5/10 - 31.0 lbs. - now we're talkin' 8/26/10 - 23.8 lbs. - that's what happens when you just go with the flow! 9/2/10 - 28.0 lbs. gone! 9/9/10 - 32.0 lbs. gone! - I beat my goal by 2 weeks...better reset! 9/16/10 - 32.6 lbs. gone 10/25/10 - 26 lbs. gone - 11/16/10 - 25.6 lbs gone (only 7 lbs from lowest - could be worse but it stops now!!!) 11/23/10 - 30.0 lbs gone (made my weekly goal!) 11/30/10 - 28.4 lbs. - going the wrong way but better than 2 weeks ago! 12/7/10 - 30.4 lbs. 12/14/10 - 31.6 lbs. 1/22/11 - Quit smoking - that's all I will post right now!

I have been married for 16+ years and we have 2 kids, ages 7 and 5. We like to camp in the summer and next winter (2011) our goal is to start skiing as a family!

If you don't have time to do it now; when will you have time? Mini Goals: Get back to lowest weight when I gain a few back - I can go to Caribou and get a Latte! Get to ONEderland - a new perfume - Goal Met! 9.16.10 Other rewards: 42 lbs - A jewelry amoire 52 lbs - A massage 62 lbs - A mini vacation GOAL - a new piece of exercise equipment!!!
