Hello!!! and Thank You for stopping by My Spark Page!!! My name is Aimee and I am 34 years old.

In the short time that I have been on Spark People I have learned A LOT!!!

I have learned that with REGULAR EXERCISE, a SMART DIET and the right ATTITUDE, AMAZING things can happen!!!

At that time in my life I lived in such a way that if I didnt find anyone that would love me for the person I was inside and out I wasnt meant to settle down and have a family of my own. I didnt hate to exercise because I had a very active job. I was on the road and away from home from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. So as you can imagine I was not able to cook my own meals and had no way of keeping a breakfast or lunch cold or hot. So I ate at fast food restaurants pretty much breakfast, lunch, and dinner except for on weekends if I was lucky. My favorite food was soupy macaroni and cheese.

As the years progressed I kept buying a bigger size every time I turned around. Of course I hated the way I looked and decided that it was time to make a change this is what started my life know as the YOYO. My weight would go up and down all the time but I would not see any results. So I gave it up.

Until one day we moved June of 2006 and I decided to make a change because I wanted a baby. So I started a diet to make a change for the better. And then it hit me October 28th 2006 I found out that I was pregnant. So I had to make changes drastically in what I was doing with my body. Throughout the pregnancy I gained almost 40 pounds. But, it was worth it we now have a beautiful bouncing baby boy he will be 8 months Feb. 22, 2008.

After my pregnancy I wanted to get back to dieting but after having a C-Section I had to wait 2 months before I could really do anything physical. But, while I was pregnant I found out that I had to have my gallbladder removed. So July 2, 2007 I had that removed and had to recover from that with a newborn. After I got past that I just didnt have the determination to start any workout of any kind. Looking at myself in the mirror I couldnt stand the site I cried every time. So I talked to myself and said that I need to make a change not only for me but for my family I need to be there for them and need to be able to keep up with my son when he starts walking/running.

Another bump in the road was my husband and I moved his parent and while moving some furniture a dresser a little over way to heavy to even think about moving decided to slowly land on my foot. I didnt really feel anything and it didnt hurt so we kept moving but as days went by I got an infection from an ingrown toenail and didnt see a doctor until the last minuet then had to recover from that.

Finally I got my Chunky Butt in gear and started Jan. 16, 2008 and have lost 18 lbs.

Here are some of the things that work for me and what I have been doing the 1st 30 days:

* I replaced soda with water w/ a hint of lemon Iced Tea Sugar free Crystal light Sugar free Jell-OIve never drank so much water in my life.

* Having all the fruits and veggies that I need in my fridge and cleaning them when I get them vs. waiting and letting them go bad

* When I am hungry I grab fruits or veggies maybe Sugar free Gum

* Staying busy when I am hungry I wont give up this time

* I dont forget to eat And I dont eat after 6:00p.m

* Thinking smaller sizes, portions, clothes

* Thinking of the body/size that I want and working towards that image

* I do only the exercises that I enjoy and with music Walking the dog

*Using my Gazelle Freestyle Elite...

* Remembering that I did not balloon overnight So it is not going to come off overnight

* Avoiding nightshade veggies (tomatoes, potatoes, and peppers) These can slow weight loss

* Having a PB&J for dinner or a plate of veggies

* Imagining that I am on my favorite reality show competing along with them

* Using my Wolfgang Puck Rice Cooker Its great for steaming just the right amount of veggies Its not big or expensive Its easy to use and clean up is a breeze

Personal Motivation I talk to myself about:

* Keeping my goals within reason
* Believing in myself I can do it I am worth it
* Taking it one day at a time
* I will never doubt my abilities
* I make time for me
* I am patient with myself and will never give up
* I say something positive about myself everyday
* If I dont make a change for me how can I expect my son to make healthy choices
* Having someone that I can talk to about my accomplishments...
* The SMILE :) on my sons face keeps me going so I wont quit

I want to lose weight because...

I want to be there for my son when he needs me most... To wake up feeling healthy... To fit back into my favorite pair of jeans...To make my husband wish his girlfriend was this hot... I don't want to be the mom who sits back and watches from a distance because i'm to embarassed to sit with other moms... I'm tired of being looked down at left out... I want to better my life... I want to be able to keep up with my son without getting winded all the time... I want to have another child and don't need/want to excess weight hanging around... Being able to shop ANYWHERE...

My Inspirations:

*My SON... My SON... My SON...
* If I lose weight maybe my husband will too...
* Looking better in a swimsuit...
* Buying a smaller size... Not BIGGER...
* WWE... American Gladiators...
* The Biggest Loser... Thank You... Olivia and Hannah...
* Myself... Myself... Myself...

My Goals:
I joined Spark People to lose weight and feel healthy not just to look better. I'm tired of being tired and not wanting to do anything or anything to fix my problem. I do not have the energy to keep up with my growing son and he is going to be 4 and walking try running all over the place. He is going to want to do a lot of things and I am just afraid that I am going too be to tired to do any of it. I want to rid myself of the guilt and be able to get out and do anything that he will be doing. I want to enjoy my life and not sit on the sidelines anymore.

My Program:
I work out 5 to 7 days a week. And trade off between Strength Training and Cardio thanks to Spark showing me how to do the exercises. I eat more Fruit and Veggies than ever before. I started to change my life on Jan. 16, 2008 and have lost 20 lbs. I'm not starving myself and I'm not hungry. I quit eating fast food and cut everthing that I ate literlly in half. I don't feel fatigued I'm not tired and I have more energy. Mind Over Matter: In my opinion the reason that I didn't stick to any fitness program is not because of my body failing me it's because my mind quit working. Once I get up and start moving I can't stop.

Personal Information:
Liquid Sunshine is a love song written about the soft droplets of rain that fall in Hawaii.

Other Information:
I quit buying the fitness dvd's for a quick 30 min workout because the money that I was spending on them was equivalent to my direct tv bill so I love to watch FIT TV. And now thanks to NETFLIX I can watch instantly on my tv no more buying and wasting money...

On the bathing-tub of King T'ang the following words were engraved: "If you would one day renovate yourself, do so from day to day. Yea, let there be daily renovation."

"Even if the challenges are immense and the obstacles are many, step forward and live the life you choose to live. Your dreams are worth every effort.
Even if you get knocked down again and again, get right back up and get going. With enough persistence, any goal is within your reach.
Even if you can’t see all the way to the end of the road, go ahead and take the first step. Each time you make some progress, you’ll find new ways to make even more.
Even if your results fall short of your expectations, keep making the effort. Each new day brings you more experience, wisdom and effectiveness.
Even if you’ve been deeply disappointed in the past, focus on the positive possibilities. For your future is what you choose to make it now."
— Ralph Marston

"I will persist until I succeed. Always will I take another step.
If that is of no avail I will take another, and yet another.
In truth, one step at a time is not too difficult.... I know that small attempts, repeated, will complete any undertaking."

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistake, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space."
