Took a little detour and will no longer continue to punish myself for not being where I thought I would be if I stayed on track. Reminding myself that this is a journey, and it really doesn't matter how long it takes me to get there as long as I reach the finish line. All of this didn't happen over night. So why not just enjoy the scenery along the way...

Yes, I could continue to allow myself to get frustrated over the fact that my clothes are fitting a little snug, but I'm not going to waste my energy on that. Instead, I will channel it into determination and an honest effort.

Similar to the previous times where I've managed to lose weight, I acknowledge the connection between my past & how my association with food evolved. THIS IS A PROCESS, and I give myself permission NOT TO BE PERFECT all the time. I make my own choices, and for the ones that are not so great, there is nothing that says that I cannot make that choice again.

The "d" word does not exist in my vocabulary; I prefer to LIVE-IT!

    Welcome to Living Binge Free. We have a small but loyal core of members. I'll admit that most of us are much more interested in reasonable eating habits than in weight loss per se. Most of our regulars don't even track or weigh, as that is often associated with difficulty for BED. Maybe that's why we are small, but I don't see a much bigger ratio of success on other teams where just about everything revolves around the scale. I was NEVER able to alter my habits because of the scale. There are so many teams intent on that, but I like our being able to offer an alternative. We are VERY interested in eating routines that support vitality and mental peace, and that means really decreasing our dependence on low nutrition foods. Besides, there are so many people on Spark who say they actually started to lose when they shifted from being on a diet to changing their eating habits. That's what worked for me and is the only basic strategy I can speak from, so that is what I like to support. I hope you'll take a look and see if it's what fits your needs. emoticon
