My Goals:
I just want to be more healthy this year. The holidays have done me in again this year.

My Program:
I strive (I should say struggle) to eat more fruits and veggies. I have some fruit allergies and some digestive issues too, so some veggies are also a problem. But I'm really trying to eat the ones I can - and to eat more of them. I'm going to exercise no matter what Arthir says!

Personal Information:
I have a wonderful husband of 2 years (Marc), 2 adult children. I retired last February due to my Rheumatoid Arthritis. I like to walk (when Arthir does not prevent it). I love my furry girls -Isabelle and Claudia (Meow)

Other Information:
Anybody in the Overlea-Fullerton area who wants to meet up - let me know.

Unfortuately, I didn't do so good at the party - way too much stuff - mostly junk, too. It was a pot luck. I grazed a lot.

My arthritis never gives me a break because it's rheumatoid. It's hard enough in warm weather, but winter is really ridiculous.

I really like your daughter's philosophy on eating - very organic. She sounds like a very smart young lady. I've got a daughter like that too. They (children) are supposed to look up to us, but it's kinda funny how we end up looking up to them sometimes - they make us so proud! I think it's a direct reflection of good parenting. emoticon

Found a great recipe I had for dinner tonight:

(I only used one tablespoon of brown sugar. 4 seemed way too much and it tasted great!)

My arthritis in my knees is acting up too. I think it's a combo of my weight and the weather!

My daughter has been helping me out a lot with this endeavor. She has been eating healthy and exercises regularly for years because as an athlete, it's a must! She taught me to not only look at the food labels, but understand what I'm reading. I'm shocked how much sodium is in so much stuff!

Her basic rule is "Stick close to nature". She has a point. Her main sources of food either walk the earth or are grown in it....how simple is that?

I hope you are feeling better soon.

Are you watching the skins game today or the ravens? or both?

Ravens game day . . . look out . . . calories. Party is at my house, too. I'm gonna need all the willpower I can muster.
