Several health issues in the past year have given me reasons to let lose, at least in my mind they were good reasons. Well, no longer! I'm here to overcome them. I'm here to lose weight in spite of them. I'm here now to change things ... for me.

While my diary may be on a different site, I like the resources, support and format of Sparkpeople. So feel free to drop a note or friend me. Together we can work on getting to our goals.

Updated July 2011: Hi there! Welcome to my page!! I'm a 45 year old mom of 2 who lives in Southern Ontario, Canada. I've always had a weight problem. I have tried several "diets" over the years some with success but nothing lately. I have sleep apnea & use an automatic CPAP nightly now. I am also borderline anemic. I'm following a healthier food plan (doctor supervised) and using SparkPeople to keep me tracking & involved. I'm also trying to get more fitness in; I desperately need to change my attitude toward fitness! I look forward joining all of you on our way to success!

My Goals:
Goal 1: To say good riddance to the 3 at the start of my weight (Done: Oct 12/10)
Goal 2: To focus on eating healthy, nourishing foods that feed my body, not my emotions.
Goal 3: To lose weight at realistic pace that is sustainable in the long run.
Ultimate goal: To hit Wonderland!

Non-scale victories will be:
*To be able to wear my wedding rings again, without having them resized, again!

*To shop in regular clothing stores.

*To be able to run...any distance without pain & huffing.

My Program:
*Write down every bite I take, good or bad.

*Get some walking and extra steps in every day. Visit YMCA at least twice a week.

*Eat 3 meals and 3 snacks every day with a source of protein at each.

*Drink water, water and then more water.

*Eat as clean as I can.

The fuel that I give my body definitely defines my energy level. The last few days it has been all premium....and what a difference. I think I am slowly learning the important relationship between what I put in my body and how I feel. Not bad....it has only taken me 41 years to learn this...lol. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
