My Journey

I am ready to get fit once and for all! I need lots of encouragement & support, so any tips you want to send my way are welcome!!! I love food & want to learn moderation so I can still enjoy my meals but stop over indulging.

August 2013 update:
I am well on my way now!! Down 40 pounds and can't wait to keep going. I feel so much better and even though I still have a really long way to go and still mess up sometimes I know I can do it now! I am in my first round of BLC main ...

I am in my first round of BLC main challenge (round 22) and it is just the challenge I've been looking for. Can't wait to see what else I can accomplish along my journey...

April 2014 update:
So, I am now down 50 pounds. I'm still trying hard but I've had a lot of ups and downs lately. I just completed BLC round 24 and got back down to my lowest weight I reached last year, but can't get past that. I am currently in the Spring 5% challenge & starting the Camp Wannabefit challenge next weekend. I am hoping that one of these challenges can help me get back in gear because I really want to hit 200 pounds by the end of the year & right now it is looking pretty far away, but I still know I can do it with the help of my spark friends! Wish me luck~

My Goals:
My ultimate goal is to get to 145lbs and stay within the range of 145 -155 pounds since I know fluctuations are bound to happen.

My goal for 2014 is to hit 200 pounds by the end of the year!

My Program:
Burn 500 calories 6 days a week
Track my food everyday & aim between 1500-2000 calories daily
Plan ahead! Make sure I know what my meals will be for the week as well as my workouts!

Thanks for your kind words on my SparkPage. You asked what I thought was the biggest thing that helped me get this far. I have a few, but one of them is to stay Determined and persistent. I keep (even now at maintenance) a before picture where I can see it every day! I also posted my goals on my computer, on my bathroom mirror, in my car, everywhere...Believe in yourself!, Smile, stretch, You Can Do it.. and a few others. I tracked all my food no matter what. My first three months I let the nutrition tracker increase my nutritional calories as my workout times increased. It was also important for me to stay in contact with my SparkFriends by reading articles, reading the inspirational and motivational videos, and blogs.

I wish you well, if you need any other information, I'd be glad to share them!

Thanks for being a SparkFriend. I get inspiration and encouragement from all my SparkFriends :D

Wishing you well in this journey! There are bumps along the way, but keep your focus with before pictures, before measurements, put your goals where you can see them...in your car, on the mirror, on your computer... take baby steps, try streaking by drinking 8 cups of water every day, walking 30 mins per day... You can do it! Your SparkFriends are here for you!
