My Goals:
Live a healthier lifestyle--through good nutrition and exercise.

Lose weight.

Get 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night.

Work in my garden.

Go for a walk outside.

My Program:
Doctor says I have pre-diabetes so I'm following Spark plan on the nutrition tracker with my own menu:
- low sodium
- whole foods as much as possible
- Nutritionally balanced, portion controlled meals

Exercise is walking at least 35 minutes every day and strength training 3x a week.

Personal Information:
I love to read, constantly, compulsively.

I enjoy counted embroidery.

My guilty pleasure is Mahjong Connect, although I play Sudoku everyday, too.

Linda, thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. I completely agree, that at times life gets hard and lonely (usually at the same time), and I've been feeling a lot of this lately, which is why I'm so grateful to be able to look forward to seeing my family next week. I hope as well that your life will be filled with many more happy occasions. You are such a loving and supportive person, and you have the most beautifully positive outlook on life. Thank you for keeping tabs on me, your friendship means a lot! emoticon

Hi Linda, thanks for visiting and leaving such supportive comments on my blog. You should feel proud of yourself for maintaining the weight loss. I think that maintenance takes just as much work as losing. It's not easy to hit that balance.

Thanks also for the heads up about those sugar alcohols. My diabetic friend warned me about the side effects of those, put I guess hadn't looked carefully enough at the label on those ice cream sandwiches to notice that they had them. Good thing I never ate more than two at a time. Still, they're long gone now, and I'm banning them from the house. Otherwise I'll have to join slender bovine anonymous!

emoticon Linda, I agree with you, I think it is worth it. And it sounds tonight like my father might finally be convinced too. I really hope he won't change his mind! He is my Mom's guardian so only him can take the decision for her.
