Thank you for your comment on Friday Eve! My friend and I started saying that sometime ago. She is a teacher and there are times she can't wait for the weekend. Lol!
Have a great weekend!!!! 32 days ago
Hey Linda! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! The stores actually were fairly quiet on Wednesday afternoon, which was great. Except for the speciality grocery where I went to pick up a few items for my dinner guests tonight - that was a zoo! Yesterday, I went to dinner with a few friends at a lovely restaurant that's situated in an old Victorian house. I usually carpool with another woman when we all go out, and so met her at the end of the Walmart parking lot where we leave one car. We met up at 5:00 pm, and I could not get over it. I had to park almost at the entrance, it was that full! I do not understand why anyone would want to leave the house after a nice meal with their families, to rush off to a place like Walmart on a holiday! My sister works for them up in NJ, and many years she has to make dinner for her kids and grandkids, rush through her meal, all to run to work so that people with nothing better to do can get a jump on their shopping. Makes me mad!!
Thank you for reading and commenting on my blog, Linda. I absolutely agree with you that kindness and respect is something that needs to be taught at home. Sadly, that doesn't always happen, so it's important that we try to model it wherever we can. 67 days ago
