1/6/13: Off to a good start for the New Year. Walked every day and met all nutritional goals. Now, to keep it up.

4/6/10: Went to the doctor today. Lost 3 1/2 more pounds since last visit. A1C down to 5.5.

3/1/10: Nine months on Spark. 40 pounds gone, but at a plateau since Christmas. I plan to redouble my effort to try to get that scale to budge. The good news is that I didn't gain any of it back.

1/1/10: Happy New Year! Almost 40 pounds gone. ...

12/9/09: Six months on Spark. 36 pounds gone. Doctor very impressed with SparkPeople. That means I lost 8 pounds last month!

11/5/09: Five months on Spark. 28 pounds gone and a1c down to 6.0. My doctor gave me & SparkPeople a gold star!

8/11/09: Two months on Spark. 17 pounds gone and a1c down to 6.3 from 7.0.

6/4/09: 51 year old female recently diagnosed with diabetes.

Pay down my credit cards with a goal of becoming debt-free

My Program:
I use the nutrition tracker FAITHFULLY and am walking at least 8000 steps a day. I hope to add more exercise.

I found your page through Spark Buddies. I'm looking for a healthy living buddy in my area--not for the gym, (at least not now) but to maybe share a walk or a healthy lunch. I live near Collegeville in Montgomery Co., PA and work as a high school English teacher in Exton. If you are near either of those areas and are interested, please let me know. My boyfriend is glad I'm doing this, but not supportive enough to get out there and help me!
