Hello, I'm Limdur. I'm hoping to be able to lose weight and start making better eating choices, as well as exercising a bit more. New to Sparkpeople, and computers fluster me at times, but hopefully I'll figure out how to use this site properly soon.

I�d gotten to my highest weight of about 215 lbs. last summer (at 5 foot 2 inches tall). Had a doctor telling me that I needed to watch my weight, lose a bunch, and that my blood pressure looked a little high for my age.

So, I decided to start losing weight. I would go to the gym at college with a friend, but as the classwork piled up, I stopped going. I was still able to drop about six lbs.

At January of this year, I found that I had lost more weight, bringing me down to 191 lbs. However, the summer happened, and with summer came traveling and some unhealthy food choices. After hearing about this site from someone, I decided that it was time to commit and make a change. To become healthier and happier.

My Goals:
My main goals are:
~ To start eating healthier.
~ To lose weight.


My Program:
To reach my goals I'm doing the following things:
~ Beginning to exercise on a regular basis.
~ Watching how many calories I am taking in a day.
~ Drinking more water.

For a bit more motivation, with each weight loss goal I meet, I have set a reward:

10 lbs lost: Buy a book (September 10, 2011)
20 lbs lost: Buy a c.d. (November 19, 2011)
30 lbs lost: Go out to the movies (March 31, 2012)
40 lbs lost: Take a day for myself (June 23, 2012)
50 lbs lost: Buy some new clothes (December 7, 2012)
60 lbs lost: Who knows?

~ I love a wide range of books from Fantasy and Science Fiction to Russian History.
~ I've been knitting for about 10 years now.
~ Favourite movies include, but are not limited too: Funny Face, Roman Holiday, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Die Hard 4 and RED.

    Hello , Yes You Can Team,

    Currently we have a team goal tracking miles walked or ran. Is there anyone who rides a bike or stationary bike, or uses an elliptical. The goal doesn't allow enough characters to include stationary bike, or cycling.

    So, please track all miles accumulated, under the Walk/Run 3 miles a week. Just respond and let me know if you are a use stationary bike or other equipment that tracks mileage so I can give 2 SPARK goodies in 2 categories instead of one. I can see leaders for all team goals so there will be a WALK/RUN leader and a CYCLE/TREADMILL leader.

    We want EVERYONE to be free to participate and be awarded for their achievements!
