Hello there, I'm new to this site and looking for some motivation, inspiration, and a general kick in the pants. I am so unhappy about my body, yet let it get me down to the point of not feeling like I can do anything about it. I know I'm being ridiculous, but it doesn't help...

Hello there, I'm new to this site and looking for some motivation, inspiration, and a general kick in the pants. I am so unhappy about my body, yet let it get me down to the point of not feeling like I can do anything about it. I know I'm being ridiculous, but it doesn't help...

My goals:
First, I want to feel good and look good for my 10 year high school reunion - it is coming up the day after Thanksgiving. Of course, leave it to me to weigh the most I ever have a month prior to this thing.

Second, I ran a half marathon a year ago in 2 hours and 5 minutes. I have ran probably 10 times since then. I would love to be able to get back into shape and run a 1/2 in less than 2 hours! I would like to do this by next summer.

Third, I would like to run a marathon in around 4 hours and 30 minutes. I would like to do this by November 2009.

My Goals:
I would like to lose 23 pounds, but really that is linked to the fact that I want to feel better about myself and my body. I have weighed less before, and I know I am happier. It isn't the number, it is how I feel - and I feel crappy.

My Program:
I know that running works fast and very well. Now I just have to motivate to run through the winter months. I need to revamp my eating and my attitude as well.

Hi there!
Thanks for the add, the biggest tip I can give you is to check out "The Eat Clean Diet" by Tosca Reno, it is a great place to learn about eating right. Good luck, you will do this!

How are you doing? Well, I hope! If you don't already know, to add the quotes and such to your posts, edit your sparkpage, and on the right hand side there is a part about your signature. That is where you put whatever you want to show up underneath your posts. How that helps!!
