One day you wake up and it just hits you. You need a change. Wheather it is to take hold of a nasty habit, lose weight, both, or just change in general. You realize that its going to be a hard road but your finally ready to push on. My day is now....

I started on SparkPeople more than a year ago at 125 lbs. After taking a month to plummet down to 98 lbs and two hospital stays, nights of purging, feeding tubes, and starving I am finally waking up and realizing that this is not me. This is not who I want to be and its not healthy. I need a change.


I'm done...looking in the mirrorand hating what I see
I'm done...ripping myself apart
I'm done...comparing myself to "skinnier prettier girls"
I'm done...hurting my family with my eating disorders
I'm done...depriving my body of what it needs
I'm done....being lazy
I'm done....isolating myself from the ones I love because I feel fat
I'm done....letting the scale rule my life
I'm done...letting others comments effect how I see myself
I'm done....being my Eating Disorders slave

I'm going to try to get a handle on my own life. I was always the "fat" girl through highschool and I see how peoples input helped me take the leap into my Disorders. I am ready to show them all what I am really made of. I am ready to show everyone that I CAN be healthy. I am ready to show myself......

My Goals:
To find myself in a healthier state of mind.

Get into my job again

Maintain a healthy weight

Keep my anorexia/bulimia under control.

Go back to college

Learn to love myself!


My Program:
I plan my meals anywhere between 1-2 weeks ahead of time.

If I want a "bad food" I take half a large serving spoonful or a small serving.

I excersize between 6-7 days a week.

I try to get at least 75% of my fiber intake a day.

I try to make my foods whole grain, low sugar or sugar free, low fat, and rich in veggies or fiber

I ride my bike to work and back and if its with in distance to run errands.

I log all my daily excersize activities.

I support others with weight issues and recieve support and take advice. We can all help eachother!

Last but not least I try not to beat myself up for a "bad" day and get right back on the band wagon. Not the next day but as soon as I know that I slid.

Other Information:
I love love love my family and friends. They come before anything in my life. They are the most supportive people I have ever met.

Music is one of the most important things in my life. I love to sing it and dance to it and finding new music to listen to to me is amazing. Each song lyric I listen to that I like has some kind of meaning to me.

I have no kids yet but I can't wait to bring one or two into the world. With the way the world is today if I can bring in two or three well raised children that can do something great into something that is falling apart that would be amazing. If I can bring a few humans into this world to help others and make the world that seems to be crashing around us into something great that will be the best thing I could do with my life.

As for recrational activities I love to hike bike ride work out sing dance write craft draw and read
