The best place to start, in learning more about calorie cycling, is by reading through the GREAT Tips, Links & Info thread on the sparkteam page. You can also visit the freedieting website that has a calorie calculator, to help calculate your 7-day calorie cycling numbers, make sure to read through the entire page since there's a lot of great information, www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calcul ator.htm#
Just don't forget to coincide your higher intensity workouts with your high calorie days, the lowest calorie day is usually your rest days, everything else is normal cardio.
I highly recommend reading the article "The ZigZag Diet" by Dr. Squat,
and the article "IDEAL WEIGHT: IS THERE SUCH THING?" by Thomas Tadlock,
If you still have questions after reading through the threads please don't hesitate to ask in the "I NEED HELP" thread. General chit chat is usually in the "By the Campfire" thread OR you could always sparkmail me!
Take care, CC
P.S. SparkPeople may cut the website addresses in half so don't forget to copy the whole thing!
Welcome to the "Exercising with OA" team. I've always been active as well and just now learning how to get back to a reasonable activity level with arthritic knees. Join in, would love to share experiences with you, I may not be running, but I peddle with the best of em! :)))

And... welcome to Turbo Jam. Arthritis is definitely a challenge; most exercise can be modified to accomodate physical "quirks". Pace yourself- keep moving and stretching. But I'm sure you know all that..... lol. If you have any questions about the program or moves, someone on our pages will know the answer. We'll be glad to cheer your progress and help you along.
