Udate 6/2013- Weight is up a bit, exercise down. Getting back on track, though. Not back to baseline and don't want to go there. Still happy. Grateful for Spark to get me back on track.

Update 6/ 2012- I can't believe how my life has changed over the last 5 years! I didn't realize how much misery was due to my weight and lifestyle. I don't enjoy exercise yet...but I LOVE the way I feel. My weight is stable, I'm in good condition and still smoke free. I am very grateful for all the support from this site. It changed my life!

Update6/2011- 4 wonderful, wild, incredible life changing years. I'm still smoke free and in the best shape of my life! Just finished a 70.3 triathlon. Scale still about the same. I'm learning to live with my numbers... Like I said- I'm healthier than I have EVER been. It all started here.

Update 6/2010 - really 3 years?! Maintained weight loss and still smoke free. In the best shape of my life and much more 'fit' even if the scale hasn't dipped large numbers over the past year.
Finished 7 triathlons over the past year! Beyond my wildest dreams...

Update 6/2009- Wow- 2 years!!! 50+ lbs. lighter and still smoke free. I am so grateful for all the support!

Update 7/2008- A year+ later, 40 lbs lighter on the outside and still working on the inside..... Miracle #2 - 15 months without a cigarette.

From 6/2007- I hope this time is different. It feels that way- but since I have been down this road so many times, I don't trust that I'm really on my way to a healthy lifestyle. Keep me in your prayers...

My Program:
I follow Jennie Craig (off and on) and the principles of portion control, moderation, and exercise. I work out 5 times a week, strength train 2 times a week with a trainer (as funds allow.)
Quit smoking using Chantix, friends and a whole lot of prayer.

I am a single mom of two great teenagers who keep me on my toes.
I like gardening, needlework, jewelry making. Still waiting to like exercise.... after 42 years I'm not holding my breath.

    I didn't plan on doing anymore tri's this year. I just started training for a half marathon I'll be running in March 2010. I'll definitely be racing in two or three tri's next season. My plans looks something like this: June (DiamondGirl PA or DE?), August (SheRox Philly) and October (Cape Henlopen). If you end up doing the Cape Henlopen tri this year, let me know how it goes. I'd love to do it this year, but I'll be in Disney the week before. Good luck in September!
