My Goals:
My goals are to create & maintain the healthiest life possible. To commit to a diet of healthy eating & a life that includes regular exercise. I am an avid runner. For 2015 I am training to complete 3 half marathons for half fanatic status. This is my favorite distance and this year I am working on speed, hoping for a PR!

I would like to be able to motivate and teach others what a healthy lifestyle can do for not only your body, but your emotional health as well.

Running goals:
- San Diego Rock n Rock Half - June 2014 - finished!
- Los Angeles Rock n Roll Half - October 2014 - finished!
- Las Vegas Rock n Roll Half - November 2014 - finished!
- Girls on the run 5k - May 2015 - finished!
- San Jose Rock n Roll Half - September 2015 - finished!
- Los Angeles Rock n Roll Half - October 2015 - finished!
- Las Vegas Rock n Roll Half - Nov 2015 - finished!
- To run 3 halfs within 90 days to achieve half fanatic status - Qualified!

My Program:
My nutrition program is still eating unprocessed, "real" food. This has helped my weight and running tremendously. I've learned to love food in its natural state and am having a great time using new spices to up some flavors.

My name is Brenda, I'm 46 years old, I'm blessed with two children ages 25 and 20. I love healthy living and strive to live it every day. I love to run!

Thanks for the blog comment. The last week of the year, with New Years Eve and New Years Day feasting and laziness, is always rough for me. Having a gain with those days right before weighing in was no surprise, makes me wish we could have New Years Eve on Saturday every year, that way I could weigh in and then snack and feast and still have a week to get back down!

Back when I was doing real well with losing weight I followed the idea of small goals. It's the advice I always offered others who were struggling. Instead of looking at needing to lose 50 or 100 lbs, just concentrate on losing 5 lbs. Once you hit that mark, you feel good about getting it done which breeds confidence making the next 5 lbs easier. Now you've lost 10 lbs without really working too hard or stressing out about it, which breeds more confidence, etc. Achieving small goals always adds up to achieving big goals! Happy New Year :)
