Hello everyone! My name is Kari. I am 29 years old. I was introduced to Spark People by my dietitian. I have been struggling with my wieght since I was a teenager. Hello everyone! My name is Kari. I am 29 years old. I was introduced to Spark People by my dietitian. I have been struggling with my wieght since I was a teenager. I have been to weight watchers several times. I would lose the weight and then gain it all back within a year. It never became a life style change for me. Two years ago I was at the most unhealthy stage of my life. I was informed by my doctor that I was obese and I had high cholesterol. I began to feel depressed. I was trying very hard to lose weight and it was going nowhere. I realized that something had changed in me emotionally . I was not the same girl. I was no longer outgoing. I sat at home and felt sorry for myself. The people closest to me began to notice that I was not happy. That was the turning point for me. I decided I needed to find me again. So I began a long journey! I lost 30 pounds the first year and did a great job maintaining the weight loss. I used running to stay in shape and ended up loving it. I ran several 5ks and even an 8k. I finally felt like I found myself. last year I even trained 6 months for a half marathon! It was very difficult but I finished. Now it has been 3 months since my half marathon and I am gaining all my weight back. I am basically starting over. I loved who I was when I had finally lost the weight. I am looking forward to beating this weight loss battle I have struggled with all my life. I will be successful!

I have been using the nutrition tracker daily.
I am currently doing the Couch to 5k program.
Run 3x a week
P90X

Other Information:
Change is good. If nothing ever changed there wouldn't be any butterflies.

Pain is nothing compared to what it feels like to quit.
