Caterpillar to Butterfly

I'm not really a quote-y person, but I recently saw this one and I liked how it sums up the way I'm feeling and the way I'd like to be:

"Just when the caterpillar thought the world was ending, he became a butterfly." I want to be a butterfly, darn it!

I'm a 36-year-old children's librarian, married for 7 years. I love reading (job hazard!), traveling, TV (especially too many reality shows) and computer games like The Sims and Everquest II.

Hello there! Hope you found some good stories in all your summer reading contest entries.

It's been months since I read "The Help," so the book wasn't fresh in my mind when I saw the movie...but I have to tell you, the movie was FANTASTIC. One of the best movies I've seen in YEARS....and it was very true to the book, as far as I could remember. The casting was wonderful...you have to see it! There were a couple of things that the movie didn't stress as heavily as the book...but it wasn't a big deal, at least not in my opinion.

Let me know when you see it and we'll compare notes! Hope your weekend is going great!

Just stopping by to say hello and see how you're doing! Hope things are going great in your little corner of the world. So, in book news, I have officially read so many Lisa Gardner books that: A) I'm kinda spooked getting into my car when I go shopping and such, but B) At least I know a lot more than I used to know about survival and self defense.....

Just downloaded "The Opposite of Me" by Sarah Pekkanen on my Kindle. Here's hoping for a good read that won't give me the willies.

Have a great week!

Happy Friday!

It’s 97 degrees here. Whew. I hope you are having an awesome day.

outshine us! We have to beam, too!"
