Lost about a pound a week for the first few weeks, then plateaued (with the occassional uptick during vacations and back to normal when I got back) for a couple months. Lost about a pound a week for the first few weeks, then plateaued (with the occassional uptick during vacations and back to normal when I got back) for a couple months. Changed up my exercise routine recently and it looks like the plateau is busted! This site rocks; I am so impressed with all the features, content, and coaches. I'd been doing a daily streak of DDR for my cardio. It's a ton of fun, and great for people who have a hard time getting into other exercises. Check out our DDR group (link below). Recently I started doing the 5K Walk/Jog training, because I'd like to get into jogging/running since it's such a versatile exercise - in particular, I could use it on vacations (unlike DDR) to avoid those upticks! I stopped exercising regularly for a couple months there and didn't gain anything back, but I think I was losing muscle and gaining fat, and of course it caught up with me. So I'm now back on track - I think regular strength training is a real key to keeping it off. I've been vegetarian since I was 16. My Program:
I've been keeping to the low end of the recommended calorie range and trying to alternate daily b/w cardio & strength training. I mostly do DDR (was on a daily streak for awhile) but also started the 5K walk/jog training that was featured on Spark, so was doing treadmill for awhile too.
