How I will accomplish losing 70 lbs.:

• Utilize the tools and resources available on SparkPeople

• Repeat positive affirmation everyday.

• Provide support and seek out those that have figured out tips that has helped them be successful and learn from them.

• Create a calorie daily calorie deficit between calories consumed and calories burned. More on this below. ...

How I will accomplish losing 70 lbs.:

• Utilize the tools and resources available on SparkPeople

• Repeat positive affirmation everyday.

• Provide support and seek out those that have figured out tips that has helped them be successful and learn from them.

• Create a calorie daily calorie deficit between calories consumed and calories burned. More on this below.

• Drink my water!!! No less than 80 oz. each day ESPECALLY ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

• Use the fitness DVD’s that I already have : 30-Day Shred and Tae Bo, Walk-Away-The-Pounds, Turbo Jam, and Slim-in-6. More info on these workouts below.

• Eat as clean as possible: rely heavily on the food choices that work best with my body as learned via 6WBMO, and various magazines on health & nutrition like Oxygen and Clean Eating

• Measure at the end of each month

• Have fun on my Wii and Wii Fit which is a positive option to being a couch potato.

• Drink at least 2-3 cups of herbal (green, white, roobios, black) tea a day to help me get in my water and curve my hunger which often led to mindless snacking, overeating during meals, and late night grazing. For me water is boring to drink so drinking my water in the form of tea really helps me a lot. Before I know it, I’ve got my water consumed in no time!!!

• Complete the entire 6 weeks of Slim-In-6. I’ve gotten all the way to the 5th week and would let something interrupt my flow and never finish. It’s a very good fitness program and it does get results. I’ve received compliments as early as week 3 in the past. For me…inches lost have been my result.

My Fitness Method - I seem to do well with cardio but I get bored doing the same thing. I LOVE working out at home so I choose to do a variety of fitness programs on DVD. These are my favorites:

Creating a Calorie Deficit: A calorie deficit is created when the amount of food energy (calories) taken in is less than the total calories you use up. This results in weight loss….yaaay!!!

Sounds pretty simple doesn’t it? Here’s more info..... There are approximately 3500 calories in a pound of stored body fat. So, if you create a 3500-calorie deficit through diet, exercise or a combination of both, you will lose one pound of body weight. If you create a 7000 calorie deficit you will lose two pounds and so on. The calorie deficit can be achieved either by calorie-restriction alone, or by a combination of fewer calories-in (diet) and more calories-out (exercise). This combination of diet and exercise is best for lasting weight loss. Indeed, sustained weight loss is difficult or impossible without increased regular exercise.

My Goals:
To start our family - DONE!! Our little boy just turned 2 year old!!! We are so blessed!!

Future Goal:

My Program:
I am following the guidelines in the book "Why Can't I Stop Eating" by Debbie Danowski. This program eliminates sugar, flour, pasta, and other "white stuff" and focuses on lean protein, fruit, and veggies. My goal is that following this program (especially now – during the holidays) will help me overcome my cravings for unhealthy carbs and sweets. For exercise I am going starting the E A Active Sports 2 for the Wii. I’m excited about it and will be posting my progress reports!!!

Personal Information:
I am from North Carolina. I love to enter sweepstakes & one day soon I WILL win a major prize!! I also love movies, music, reading (mystery & thrillers are my favorite), and technology. I have a career in Information Technology & Real Estate.
