Me and my honey at Monticello

Hi, I want to be healthy and fit again. Almost 8 years ago when I met my (now) husband, I wore a size 4-6 and was eating healthy and exercising regularly. I was even running 10k's! I felt great! But then a lot of "life" happened. Serious financial challenges, moving, my husband's cancer came back with a vengeance and went stage 4, and over this time I slacked off big time on food choices and exercising and put on 50+ pounds :( along with a hefty dose of self-loathing related to it! Ugh. I definitely use food as a reward and for comfort. I re-dedicate myself to MYSELF and finally doing this the right way, FOR REAL, not just short term, but for a lifetime. I am tired of trying and then giving up and failing. I need to change this pattern - for myself, my husband, and our kids...to set a good example. Move forward and maintain...no slipping back this time! Healthy organic food choices, plenty of fresh air, water, and exercise! It's much harder than it seems sometimes! I've had some bumps along the road, and some days are harder than others. I'm learning a lot, especially about myself. I am 51 and have three awesome kids (26, 23, 19). Hubby has a daughter that's 26. I live in Charlottesville, VA with my wonderful husband. I choose to work out at home, mostly. I walk a lot and also work out with DVDs (The FIRM Classics are my favorites by far, but I also like all the "Older" FIRMs, Turbo Jam, and Cathe DVDs - but I'm out of shape and have to work back up to those). I have A LOT OF WORKOUT DVDs! I am really re-dedicated to losing the weight, getting healthy and fit, and maintaining it for a lifetime. I feel that failing at this is not even an option anymore. I MUST AND I WILL SUCCEED THIS TIME. My goal is 135 OR a size 6 and I WILL attain it by my birthday on 10/24/16! :)

I lost 45 lbs at 50 last year & then had multiple surgeries & couldn't exercise. I kept it off only by eating stellar food & staying at 12-1500 calories. Now I'm back at exercising, but I was limited with my exercise & still did well. Exercise is
