Hi. I really want to be fit and healthy again. But life happens. Hard. I am suddenly separated. Didn't see it coming and am dealing with the shock and grief of losing my marriage. Food has always been my "reward" for almost anything, and I have been "justifying" unhealthy food choices and fast, junk food a lot recently. I use it as comfort and to soothe my pain. Ugh. Eight years ago when I met my husband I wore a size 4-6 and was eating healthy and exercising regularly. I was even running 10k's! I felt great! But a lot of "life" happened then, too.. Serious financial challenges, moving, my husband's cancer came back with a vengeance and went stage 4, and over this time I slacked off big time on food choices and exercising and put on 50 pounds :( along with a hefty dose of self-loathing related to it! Ugh. I definitely have a pattern of using food as a reward and for comfort. I re-dedicate myself to MYSELF and finally doing this the right way, FOR REAL, not just short term, but for a lifetime. I am tired of trying and then giving up and failing. I need to change this pattern - for myself. FOR ME. Healthy organic food choices, plenty of fresh air, water, and exercise! It's much harder than it seems like it should be though sometimes. I've had some bumps along the road, and some days are harder than others. I'm learning a lot, especially about myself. I am 52 and have three awesome kids (26, 24, 20). I live in Charlottesville, VA but am moving to Richmond to be near my kids in 2 weeks. I choose to work out at home, mostly. I walk a lot and also work out with DVDs (The FIRM Classics are my favorites by far, but I also like all the "Older" FIRMs, Turbo Jam, and Cathe DVDs - but I'm out of shape and have to work back up to those). I have A LOT OF WORKOUT DVDs! I am re-dedicated to losing the weight, getting healthy and fit, and maintaining it for a lifetime. I feel that failing at this is not even an option anymore. I need some success and motivation in my life right now. My goal is 135 OR a size 6, and with God's help I will get there and move on to a happier and more joy-filled place.
Attain a healthy weight and BMI.
Make healthier food choices.
At least 45 minutes of exercise a minimum of 5 days a week
Drink 64 ounces of water a day
Get back into a size 6
I am working out a minimum of 4 times a week for at least 45 minutes, and making better food choices. I am also trying to drink more water and take my supplements.

Hi! I added you! You can do this! Just remember it that it won't happen overnight. Stretchygirl is right, it's all about what you put in your body. Stick with the healthy foods and you'll be great!! 😊
