Healthy isn't a Size

Every day I listen to people who society would classify as 'healthy' complain about having no energy, shoveling junk food into their bodies and barely moving. That's not healthy.

Healthy is having the energy to keep up with my son.
Healthy is being able to get pregnant again.
Healthy is getting off my blood pressure and PCOS meds.
Healthy is being able to go to sleep without a machine on my face.
Healthy is real food - not the low-fat, low-carb, sugar-free ...

Healthy is real food - not the low-fat, low-carb, sugar-free pseudo foods that the food industry want us to believe are 'healthy'.

My goal this year is to focus on how I'm feeling. I'll still celebrate the milestones as my weight comes off, but I'm going to be sure to celebrate the changes in my health even more!

My Goals:
- To live to see my son grow up.

- To give my son a sibling.

- To get off my BP and PCOS medication

- To get off my CPAP machine.

- To not have to take pain medicine every day.

- To be able to take a walk around our neighborhood.

- To be able to walk a 5K

My Program:
Diet - Paleo/Primal style of eating that focuses on real foods. I'll also be doing occasional Whole30's.

Exercise - At least 10min of exercise 5 days a week. Yoga at least 1 day per week. One new exercise program/class at least once per month.

Personal Information:
I'm a 31yr old mother to an active 2.5yr old boy and have been married for 6 years. I work full-time outside of the home and my challenge is finding the time.

Thanks for posting your info about how you are running/walking a less than 20 minute mile. That has been a huge goal of mine but I honestly haven't pushed myself figuring I'm too big. But I see that it can be done no reason to hold back so tomorrow I will be starting to do intervals to get me to the 20 min mile and then from there who knows. emoticon emoticon
