My Goals:
I would like to be able to maintain a healthy weight and also to remain physically fit. I'd like to lose 2 pound a week, but realistically I realize that 1 pound will be more doable.

October 2012:
Track food daily (begin date, Oct. 8)

Lose 3 lbs

Personal goal: Complete 2 prs socks

My Program:
I want to restrict my caloric intake to a level at which I'll lose weight without starving.

Personal Information:
I live in New England in a small suburb. We own 2 acres, have built our home ourselves and raised 3 children. We now have 4 grandchildren who keep us quite busy. I work full time in a fairly sedentary job, so on my days off I need to work off the lack of exercise from my work days. Because I work 12 hour shifts, there's no opportunity for exercise after or before work.

Other Information:
I love gardening (mostly perrinials and vegetables, I'm a lazy gardener), knitting, reading, construction (yep, give me a hammer and a power drill and I'm a happy girl) and TV (although I'm not a fan of the "reality" shows). I love music of all sorts, with the exception of rap, country and hip-hop.
I feel there are too few hours in the day to do all the things I want to do, so I always feel stressed.

I think I had over committed me & needed to pull back from some of the teams. Time to just grow up & do it myself instead of spending so much time trying to post here there & everywhere.

I probably will still blog as I find it a way to clear my mind & kind of sort out my thoughts. Emphasis on ,,,kind of!!

Love the job you did on that bathroom...it looks great!!

thanks for your encouragement..
it is a 20 mile trip in to town to go to the gym
which is part of why I did not go before...
but this year decided...guess what...

just read your note..at times I just hate the miles that are between us as I am sure we would be great hang out buddies & already are great friends. I count you as one of the many treasures I have found here on SP. Wow..has it been 5 years!! OMG..
Hang in there..it might not be a smooth ride but it sure is an interesting one!
