A healthy lifestyle needs consistency.

Hi everybody. Like everyone else here, I want to be healthier, lose some weight and keep it off for life.
I'm 5'4'' and weight 138 and would like to be around a 120 pounds. I checked my BMI and I'm within the healthy range, which is great, but I used to weight between 114 and 119lbs about 4 years ago. I don't necesarily want to weight 115 again but being in the120's would be wonderful. :)

Please feel free to add me as a friend. We all need some support through this ...

My goals for the rest of the year are simple. I figured that being realistic and adding small changes that I can stick to are going to be key for me.

-TRACK CALORIES EVERY DAY

-STAY WITHIN MY CALORIE RANGE (1200-1550)

- Any day that I feel "really hungry", I will not eat more than 1800 calories that day, and I will also exercise that same day or the next to compensate for those extra calories.

- I will exercise at least two times a week for 30 min.

REWARDS:

* Track calories for a whole month: go shopping and spend $50 dlls on clothes. (this will happen on August 26)

* Track calories for two months (Sep. 26) will get a manicure and pedicure!

* Track calories for three monts (Oct. 26) will spend $100 on clothes.

* Track calories for four months (Nov. 26) I will go to Disneyland, MagicMountain or Knotts Berry Farm.

* Track calories for five months (Dec. 26). Time to add a new goal. Maybe exercise more? RE-evaluate where I'm at and where I wanna be. The reward will be feeling accomplished!!

Hey! Thanx for your message. I have been sick the past week, so the tracking and working out has been on the down low. I feel a bit better now, but was ridden by guilt when opening the site. Seeing your positive message really helps me find new motivation and remembering why I'm doing this in the first place. So, starting fresh tomorrow.
Don't sweat the pound you gained, the circumstances are totally understandable and you'll get rid of it in no time emoticon
I'm the kind of person who can keep on eating while not feeling a 100%, so I wonder how much I gained back, haven't had the heart to check yet... emoticon
Good luck with the picture taking, it was a real eye opener for me
emoticon , but on the other hand; what a difference the 'after pic's' will show! emoticon

Good luck to you, let's do this thing! emoticon

Hi. My condolences concerning you aunt. It's logical your focus has been and is elsewhere.

I hope you'll find your spark back and will get closer to your goals.

For me, the tracking food has been going great, although I'm not such a great cook (yet). I also enjoy my cardio, I run, walk and have discovered Walk away the pounds. I should be more dedicated to my strength exercises, but I just find them a lot less enjoyable... emoticon
And although the scale is my friend at the moment, the mirror doesn't show me any results. So I took some pictures that will hopefully help me see some progress over time.

Anyway, going strong, we'll make it! emoticon

Have a good weekend, I hope you'll be able to unwind.

Hey! Just checking in to see how you have been doing your first Spark-weeks. I had a workout-setback the past week, but hope to better my ways this week... Have been tracking my food and have been good in that aspect, but fear having putting on weight anyway.
Hope you haven't lost your motivation and wish you lots of willpower for the upcoming week. emoticon

Hi! Thanks for your comment on my page. I looked it up, and it turns out we are at about the same starting weight and have the same goal weight. I'm glad I now know someone on this site that, like me, isn't really overweight, but would just like to be slim and fit again. I almost felt guilty about wanting to lose a few kilo's while some people here are really struggling to lose a lot of weight. I wish you the best of luck and a lot of motivation. I'll add you as a friend now, so we can check in with on another.
