Hi, Joan from Newcastle!! This is Ann from Hervey Bay (and its overcast not sunny Qld today!!)
I see that you haven't been with us long - and its hard to judge with no weight guide - but often its really hard to see our own progress!! I certainly couldn't !!
Weight loss is a slow process - and this program is a "lifestyle" program, not a "wham bam, thank you maam" type of program!!
Its important to set your ground work, making the changes necessary slowly but so that you are happy with them, they fit into your lifestyle and you can continue with them. The weight loss will follow.
I wish you every success in your journey to better health and fitness!!

Response to picture comment: Yes that was me at a place called Silver Dollar City it is a theme park in Branson MO that is based on earlier days like the Old West in the USA, I weighed almost 300 pounds in that picture, lost 80 pound then gained back 60 before joining Sparkpeople. I have lost 30 so far, still a ways to go to reach my goal weight but I will get there!

LOL no, I am not vicious, I am a very friendly and positive person as you will find out when you get to know me!!! Vicious is the name of my cat, he is not vicious now but as a kitten he was and the name just stuck. When I first went on line a few years ago I was a little nervous about it so I wanted a name that sounded fierce, so I decided to use my cat's name as my on line name. I never really thought much else about it until I joined Sparkpeople last year and people seemed a little freaked about it!!!! To me it is just my on line name!!!!
