I've been overweight for many years and am finally ready to lose the excess weight for good. I am ready to gain control of my weight, to be healthy, and to feel attractive again. I can see improvements when I look in the mirror and it encourages me to stick to my plan. I didn't gain the weight overnight and I can't lose it overnight. Back to spark people to lose my final weight. I was able to overcome my difficculty with disciplining myself to work out. I finally found something that I love and challenges me physically. I am doing the Focus T25 Beta with a little Gama mixed in and getting incredible results. The scale is slow to go down because I have so much muscle but in the end it is not the actual weight that I am so concerned with as being healthy and looking good. Toned & firm....looks good....so it is more a clothing size that I am aiming for. Fitting into a size 8 will be the achievement of my fitness goal. :-) I work out 5 days a week intensly now, and have been for 21 months, and I have set up a workout group at my office and have 7 women who now join me daily to work out together. I have no doubt that this time I will achieve my goals. I hope to be 160 lbs by Thanksgiving & then to hold my weight during the holidays while indulging a bit. Then in the New Year I hope to peel off my last 15 lbs to get to my goal weight by Feb 22 which will be 6 months from when I set my final incremental goal to lose the last of excess weight. I love Shaun T for his workouts....it was the only workout that I ever loved and have been able to stick with. He is so motivating and his encouragement gets me through the tough workouts. Oh yes, and I am still a non smoker and have no desire to smoke anymore. Healthier than I have ever been and getting better.

Ok, its been 22 days since my last post & I am now down 18.5 lbs...just 1.5 lbs short of 20 lb loss since June 4th when I started to seriously work at losing my excess weight. I was happy to see today that based on my new BMI I am no longer considered "obese". Yay! Not obese & a non-smoker...I have done some wonderful things for myself this past year! I am proud of myself & am hoping to reach my goal of being 152 - 157 lbs when I attend my 38th high school reunion. That would be 35 - 40 lbs lighter than when I started on the journey to return to my best healthy weight. I have another 20 lbs to go between now and the end of August...and I know I can make it! :-)

I'm back on board with my weight loss..very dedicated. I seem to do the best when I have a specific goal that I am working towards. For instance last time I lost 30 lbs between June 2011 & Aug 2011 to celebrate my 5oth Bday. I quit smoking in Sept 2011 & gained the 30 lbs plus some between 09/2011 and 03/2012 when my smoking cravings finally went away completely. I went back on my diet program on June 4th with the intent to lose as much as possible in time for my 4oth school reunion the weekend of Aug 24 - 26th. I started June 4th, 2012 at 188 lbs (already 4 lbs down from my highest wt ever of 192 in 03/2012) and have lost 10.5 lbs since then & I am still losing. My goal is to lose 3 lbs a wk from here on out, with me going to the reunion at 151 lbs (only 9 lbs over my ideal wt).
