Now is the time!

My name is Monica. I'm 26 and I have a great hubby and a lovely 3 year old daughter. I have had weight issues almost all of my life. I was never skinny, and believe myself to be thick-boned. Back in high school, I did a lot of sports and was in a good shape but I was always unhappy with the way I looked and never was really slim. Weight started to creep up on me slowly. Back in high school, I did a lot of sports and was in a good shape but I was always unhappy with the way I looked and never was really slim. Weight started to creep up on me slowly. Then I gained about 40 lbs while being pregnant. The post baby scale had put me at almost 208lbs! This was the heaviest I've ever been. I promised myself to loose as much weight as I could as soon as possible, but caring for a newborn was tiring and i never had much time for myself. In 2009 i attempted to start a diet/ loose weight about 3 times. Each time there was something that got in the way and made me unable to complete what I started. However I was able to loose 13lbs and go down from 208lbs to 195 lbs on my own.
In 2010, again, my resolution was to loose weight, get fit and become a better and a healthier version of myself. As of January 2010 I weight at 195lbs. My goal was to go down to 145lbs. I had good success with SP in 2010 when I lost 25 lbs and got down to 170's . But then Life happened again and I drifted away. There was so much going on and I quit watching what I ate and working out. Maybe my routine hasn't setteled in well enough? I hit a plateau and lost my momentum. Which brought me back to where I am now, at 200 lbs. I know, I know - a classic example of yo-yo dieters.....what can I say? I am human and I struggle. I know deep down inside that I CAN do it, but the little voices in my head keep whispering that I've tried so many times before to no avail. Well, the only people that don't succeed are the ones that don't try. So no matter how many times I fail, the important thing is that I bring myself back up. I have this strong burning desire to succeed and prove (mostly to myself) that I can do it! There are people out here who have lost 100+ lbs, so there is no reason for me not to be able to loose 50. I have to do it for me. I know I will feel SO much better without the excess weight.

I hope that with a help of tools at SP and all the motivational stories I see here, I'll be able to stick to the plan.

My Goals:
Loose 60 lbs and reach a goal of 140lbs by June 2012

Loose as much weight as possible by my 27th b-day

Incorporate exercise permanently into my weekly shedule

Eating less and healthier

Eliminate emotional eating

Being able to fit in size M clothing (that's for starters, I'd love to be able to fit into size S in the future)

Own a pair of great jeans in a size 6.

Being able to wear a 2 pc. swimsuit

Work on my stomach/abs

Being able to shop at VS comfortably! (yes, I do want my old 36B bra size back, but for now I'll be ok if I can get down to 36C)

Keep track of my weight:

My Program:
Going to the Gym at least 3 times a week

Incorporating both Cardio and ST and finding a good balance of the two.

Doing Winsor Pilates at least 2 times per week (T, Th)

Going to my Zumba class at least twice a week (more if schedule allows)

Staying away from fast food places

Drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day.

Weighting myself no more than once a week (Mon)


Rewards:
190 - get nails done
180 - hair cut
170 - facial or masage
160 - hair color
150 - mystery reward :)
145 - shopping spree!
140- photo shoot :)

I just started using my blender to make smoothies for breakfast everyday. I have always been horrible about eating fruits and veggies, so I'm trying to have 1 smoothie and 1 fresh juice a day.

I'd love to keep each other accountable. I feel confident this time about getting my goals accomplished. I generally weigh in on Fridays, so feel free to check up on me then emoticon
