Well, I'm going to do it. Get these extra pounds off. Only one catch. I LOVE to homebrew beer. I also love to stay up and night and watch the stars. It's kind of tuff staying awake when I'm always so tired from carrying around these extra pounds.

Time to do something about it.

My Goals:
First goal is to get the sun to cover the moon (5 more pounds!!!) by the middle of May.

Then, be at 175 lbs. by July 4, 2007

My Program:
I'm going to exercise more, eat smaller portions, and brew lower alcohol content beers (Yea, right!)

Personal Information:
I'm a born and raised Pacific Northwesterner. I still live within 10 miles of the house I grew up in. I love good jam music like the Grateful Dead, Phish, Dave Mathews and even the Classicals. I sit on a Board of Directors for one of the Nations larges Star Parties for Amateur Astronomer. These last few years at the event my weight has made keeping up with the work a challenge. I'm going to do something about it! Ten days at 6000' can really take a lot of work (if you don't live in Denver).

Just wanted to stop by and say hi. Once a day, in my team Losing And Playing, i feature a recipe. Some from my own recipes, others, from what the members of SP has submitted. Today i picked your Salsa Recipe :) thank you for submitting and sharing such wonderful recipes. It's always good to see what others make and use to help them reach their goals :)

Hi Russ -

I came over because you are SO funny on the game "Who am I" that you just have me laughing so much. And now, I get here - and look at that! A fellow WA state resident and star lover. I enjoy your goal description (getting the moon to cover the sun) - as in LUNAR ECLIPSE, huh? My husband and I both have Messier Certificates. Quite a challenge in this neck of the woods...

Enjoy the skies and SP - and please keep making me laugh!

:)

Very fun "Who am I" game, Russ! I actually figured out the answer after researching The Sidewalk Astronomers, then come back to find that my answer had been posted five minutes earlier! Missed it by THAT much! That'll teach me to talk time out for housework, LOL. I see you live in the Pacific Northwest, which part? I spent my first 40 years in Seattle. Sure do miss the greenery. My husband works in IT supporting NASA, so outer space is very big at our house. Thanks for the challenge and see you on the gameboard!
