Three Years Down - Lifetime to Go.
I've been maintaining for over three years now(!) - October 10th was my goal anniversary. I lost a total of about 60 lbs and dropped from a snug 12 to a loose 6. I've kept off about 50 lbs of my original loss and my measurements are about the same, even weighing more. Running ultramarathons and marathons added some heavy, dense lower body muscle and about 2 inches of bootie! And I like cookies. Mmm. Cookies. I've currently run 9 Marathons, about 11(?) I've been maintaining for over three years now(!) - October 10th was my goal anniversary. Mmm. Cookies. I've currently run 9 Marathons, about 11(?) Half Marathons, a 50K (number 2 is April 20, 2013) and took 3rd in my division and a 50 miler (rematch on that race is August 24, 2013. Looking to shave off a few hours!) and took 4th in my division. I've also done countless smaller races. I love to race and run. It's really hard for me to do any other exercise, though I try to ST at least 1-3 times a week, lifting heavy. After struggling with EDNOS, triggered by obsessive calorie counting and general Life Stuff, I find myself unable to focus too much on losing weight at this point in my life. I'm healing and trying to find a good relationship with food and my body. I find SparkPeople and the blogs of others' here to be a trigger, quite often, so I'm not around as much anymore. So much of weight loss looks a lot like disordered relationships with food. :/ I don't like having my ED brain set off, it's a misery. So, I avoid reading things as much as I can. I AM around, though, and still running, racing and living a mostly healthy life with lots of good, healthy food and lots of super tasty vegan goodies... mostly without the side serving of guilty and anxiety. Work in progress! Oh! I blog over at Vegan Mainstream now, off and on, and was recently published in a real, actual book! "Confronting Animal Exploitation". It's even on Amazon! You can buy it for an E-reader!!! I'm very excited to be a published author and hope my essay (and blogging) reaches some folks and makes a difference for chickens. :)

My Program:
Higher mileage ultramarathon training. Hoping to avg around 60-70 at peak. Usually running around 40-50 miles/week. Running 4-5X a week, trying to hit ST 2X a week.
Personal Information:
I love my rats (I currently have 8 kiddos), my Mollycat, Maiziecat and Leonard the jerk kitten, my new quail buddy, Trevor(!) my SO and making art. I'm a huge bookworm and a bit obsessed with Dr. Who currently. I've been vegan for 8 years (going on 9 now) and have never looked back. :) I'm a graphic designer and artist for Whole Foods Market here in St. Paul.
Other Information:
I love Stephen King, Joss Whedon and all things rat related. My current kiddos are such great ratties! I'm a big bookworm with an overburdened shelf of well-loved novels and such. I have WAY too much yarn, way too much fabric (for sewing rat hammocks and stuff!) and not enough spare time to do all the fun projects I've got on my plate.
