Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
Since turning the corner into my FIFTIES (ugh!) I have noticed that it's just too darned easy to put on weight, even when you are moderately active and a life-long vegetarian! I also noticed that when I am consistent with my workouts and mindful of my eating, I not only look better, I feel younger and have limitless energy.
To that end, I am re-introducing myself to Sparking!
Spark is a wonderful way to keep in touch and keep in check! I've been Sparking (by myself) for a while now, and have noticed that when I PLAN my nutrition ahead of time, I feel SO much better and have a lot more energy for all sorts of activities.
I am in excellent health and have been very active my whole life. For that I am grateful. In order to continue a healthful journey for years to come, I must remember to be proactive, be patient with myself, make good choices, keep moving, enjoy each day, laugh a lot, eat clean, move like a child, and know who I am. We are each a work in progress. Just looking at the many Sparkies and their accomplishments motivates me to set my own goals for 2010.
Avon Walk for Breast Cancer 2-Day Event
39 miles and a lot of fun!
Move toward a daily yoga practice. Add Bikram yoga to the mix.
Start charting my progress and being more consistent with strength training. Mix it up a bit.
Trail running and hiking (my passion) whenever I can to get off the treadmill /pavement.
Enter a few races 5k, 10k, halfies.
Ultimate goal: train for and start running the marathon.
Eat clean. Keep food log.
Explore another branch of my design business.
Complete renovations on my house and gardens.
Start painting (making) fine art again!
GOALS met for 2009:
Avon 2Day Walk for Breast Cancer - Boston May 16-17 (completed)
Walk a minimum of 20 miles per week. (complete)
GOALS for 2010:
Train for 5K and 10K races (maybe a halfie)
Participate in local 5K and 10K races in Spring, Summer, Fall 2010
Train for and complete second Avon 2Day Walk for Breast Cancer (39mi).
Eat Clean, mostly veggies, add fish, tons of raw food.
Add Bikram 1-2x week starting in May. Then tackle a Bikram challenge.
Gym workouts strength training: weights/ MTC / 30-day shred / Kettlebells, etc.
2-3 days per week.
Walk/Run 1500 miles
Work on body fat
Calorie range 1300-1650
5-6 Days a week: long distance walking. Part of the yearly training for Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
Trail run meet-ups with others in training Thurs/Saturdays
Daily mile tracking and fitness calculations tracked.

I am back from France, 2 lbs lighter, happy, healthy and ready to tackle that GOAL!!
