Back again!!

Hi here is a little intro about me. I am a mother of 4, grandmother to two, and have been married 24 years this June. With my oldest two out and on their own and my youngest two not far behind I decided to go back to school an do something to help the community, so I became an EMT. Hi here is a little intro about me. I am a mother of 4, grandmother to two, and have been married 24 years this June. With my oldest two out and on their own and my youngest two not far behind I decided to go back to school an do something to help the community, so I became an EMT. I loved the program but there was a lot of stress going on. I have 10 months to lose the weight I want to lose before graduation and working out in the field!

Hi. Sorry it took me so long to respond when u added me as a friend. I haven't been on my spark page in a VERY long time. Congratulations on going to paramedic school. I hope you find it to be as rewarding and fulfilling as I have over the years. You are doing a great thing for your community whether you become a paid medic or are volunteer. I am strictly volunteer and absolutely love it. Good luck on your weight loss journey also. You can do it!!!! emoticon

Fast food isn't always a bad thing, sometimes it's just more convenient. So try going for the grilled chicken whatever, and no fries! Most of the menus nowadays have an icon or something to show which entrees are a healthier choice. Also, try water or unsweetened tea instead of pop. Part of my problem is lack of planning, so if I don't remember to pack a lunch or if I "don't have time" then I tend to grab some unhealthy fast food. So I've been opting to go to the grocery store instead of McDonald's. I have a small stock of healthy soups and a few frozen dinners that are low-calorie. I definitely stumble, but I try and do healthy as often as I can. One of our local community boards slogan is "making the healthy choice, the easy choice". All the little things add up I think lol
