a healthier me...

I've been down this road before, but this time is different. It;s going to be a lot harder, but I need it more! 2.5 years ago, i was attacked by a dog. because of that injury, it caused an all over neurological disease that's constantly attacking my body. There is no cure, there is no slowing it down...atleast that's what the doctors say. I don't accept it, and this is my chance to fight. I think changing my diet will help me, I just don't know how much. The only exercise i can do is aquatic ...

I think changing my diet will help me, I just don't know how much. The only exercise i can do is aquatic physical therapy and very light stretching. Everything else causes a pain flare up and usually spreading. Before this accident, I was on a journey to losing weight. I had lost over 70 pounds. I lost it primarily by working out. I can't do that anymore, and dieting has always been difficult for me. I have no other choice this time. I'm hoping this will help me. It has to.

How are you doing Leigh???? I'm trying to reach out to you, seems like you need a friend who understands your pain. Trust me girl, I do. I have had RSD/CRPS for 19 years this time and from my medical records it looks like I had it around age 20 also but it burned it self out fairly quickly (less than a year) after a broken foot.
If you aren't interested in being spark friends just let me know and I won't bother you again. It just seems like you are kind of alone on this site. It's your call.

How are you doing these days Leigh? How's your pain lately? I was wondering if that is your daughter in the profile picture on your page. I noticed that you are part of the homeschooling spark team and thought you might be homeschooling her. I'm guessing here, there isn't much info on your page. I don't know if I could have handled homeschooling my kids. Maybe until about 3rd grade when they would blow by me in math skills!! Not kidding! I can do arithmetic okay but once it gets to mathematics forget about it. I got a D in high school algebra. In college you had to take an placement exam, it was multiple guess, and I scored high enough on the math part so I didn't need a math class for my degree.
In my spare time this summer, I've been using a resource popular with a lot of homeschoolers called the Khan Academy. I'm making myself learn algebra from the beginning all over again. This time I am not going to give up. If I can face down RSD/CRPS, I can face down freaking algebra, right?
When you are feeling okay, let me now how your life is going, okay?
