Getting Healthy
As of December of 2007, when my last baby was born I was the heaviest I have ever been. I was 250 pounds and I was diagnosed with diabetes. Now mind you I was already anemic and I have trouble with my leg, this scared me. I now have to take my blood sugar several times a day and I am on prescription medicines for a long time (I am not going to say forever because I hope to be off of them someday). Now mind you I was already anemic and I have trouble with my leg, this scared me. I now have to take my blood sugar several times a day and I am on prescription medicines for a long time (I am not going to say forever because I hope to be off of them someday). At that point I changed my diet and by January of 2009 I was down to 217. My husband signed us up for the YMCA in February and we found Spark people. I have been on a downward slope with my weight, my cholesterol levels are all within normal range and my diabetes seems to be within good ranges more and more. I intend to get healthy and to stay healthy.
