Hello to all the sparklers... smile. I have always been over weight. I was always the tallest and fattest kid in the class. A couple of years ago I lost almost 200 pounds with Weight Watchers. I had a great group and a wonderful leader but then I moved and it just wasn't the same. So, I slowly gained all of the weight back. I'm so glad that I found Sparkspeople. It's the right group for the support I need. As you can see from my play list on the right, I have an eclectic taste in music. I have taught music for 18 years in the public school system now and play 8 different instruments to some extent. I am the 3rd/bass clarinetist for the Pasadena Philharmonic Orchestra and have completed 3 seasons with them. It's a great group. I love to read and have recently have been binging on paranormal romances. I am a semi professional photographer and a fashion designer. I love sewing corsets and design mainly for larger women, I guess because that's what I have the most experience doing. Smile. I also design the houses the my husband builds. We focus on alternate building systems that are energy efficient as well as not relying on out forests for building materials.

My Goals:
To really live life and not just watch it pass me by. I want to loose a total of 200 pounds and plan on doing so by taking small steps that are sturdy and strong. I will loose enough weight to be able to move freely and without pain.
My Program:
The program is quite simple: eat less calories than you use. I'm using SparkPeople.com site to help record and moderate the progress.
Personal Information:
I live with my new husband (we were married March 22, 2008) in the Houston area.
Other Information:
I am also a fashion designer and work with my husband, designing house for him to build. I work part time as a photographer as well.
