Hi, my name is Leanne and I recently lost 20 lbs., but have hit a plateau and haven't been able to make the scale budge ion a few months. I am trying to get back on track and have pulled out the old food journal to help motivate me to eat healthier and make better food and exercise choices.

I am looking for some friends for encouragement and that I can encourage.

Some fun facts about me:
-I teach high school Special Education

My Goals:
My goals are to eat healthier, exercise more, and lose 20 more pounds.

My Program:
My boyfriend bought me a gym membership a while ago and I've been addicted to Zumba; I go almost every Saturday without fail.

My plan is to:
-Incorporate more cardio and strength training into my fitness routine.
-Take every opportunity to fit in more exercise.
-Keep track of my eating with a food journal.

Other Information:
I think we all hold the abilities to reach our goals, it is just a matter of tapping into and using those abilities until we finally get there.

Hello, I just had to come check out your page. My name is Leanna. I am a first grade teacher in Wyoming. I admire any teacher working with special needs kiddos full time, especially in high school.

Hello from one Leann(e) to another Leann(a)!

Dropped by to say hi and see how things are going for you.
What made you pick High school sped? I started out w/ middle school LD, went to middle/high school self-contained, now I am at the elementary level. I am always curious as to why we teach where we teach??

Here are the top-5 reasons I love my SparkPeople teams:
1. Total strangers who cheer me on, some who become friends.
2. People who encourage and inspire.
3. People who share their strength when I don't have my own.
4. People who keep me trying and make me not want to give up.
5. We can never have too many of the above!

Other SparkPeople members have taught me:
1. Celebrate the little triumphs and focus on those.
2. Get up when you fall.
3. Share your success and help inspire others!
4. Share your struggles so others can inspire you.
5. It may go slow at times-- but as long as it's going, you’re doing something right.
