Working at a new me!

I am working very hard to accomplish a healthy life style. I ride my recumbent bike and my out door bike most days..making a total distance of 6-8 miles logged. I am incorporating walking too..This has been a huge challenge for me. I don't walk well..( a catch 22..I am overweight so its hard to walk..so I don't walk..and when I don't walk I gain more weight and my ability to walk is diminished. I NEED to walk..I started out slowly..only 1/4 the first day of walking on the school track..then ...

My Goals:
my daily goals,,;eat 1200 calories and track on Spark; exercise; do good deeds for others; above all be thankful..the Lord has given all..I need to remember from whence I came..!!

My Program:
Eat a healthy breakfast .eat healthy through out the day..TRACK. Bike and walk at school for the next few weeks..till school starts. Increase my walking from 1/3 mile to 1/2 mile when I can. Increase the Leslie Sansone Walk Diet DVD to 2 miles daily..Ride recumbent bike at least 4 miles a day. Take off two days a week from exercise and one day from eating good..Get right back to the program after days off.

Personal Information:
Originally from Michigan..have lived in Maine, Alaska, and now reside in Oregon. Married..have many children, that are scattered all over the globe.

Other Information:
I love the Lord..and try to serve Him to the best of my ability..I enjoy; quilting, gardening, food preservation, genealogy, chickens , sheep, dog cats, and not least but next to the Lord, my family ..etc. My favorite programs on TV are..BBC productions..such as Downton Abbey, Bleak House, Little Dorrit, The Midwifes. I also enjoy weekly viewing Antiques Roadshow.

I freeze avocado pieces and its pits. When I make my green smoothies, I always use about 1/8 piece of avocado to have some fat for the fat soluble vitamins. In the blendtec, you can use the pit (1/2 or 1/4) along with the fruits and greens. The blender will pulverize the pit completely. I use the juice button when making my smoothies.

Hi Sharlene! Thank you so much for watching my video log. And yes, I never understood until recently that how you feel about yourself on the inside reflected what you'd look like on the outside. But it's so true! The better we feel about ourselves, the more we are able to take better care of ourselves. I'd love to be spark friends. And, when you said, "I'm old enough to be your mom", I looked at your name and my moms name is Shirlene and people call her, "Leanie". A little spooky but interesting! Thanks for visiting me Leanie. We are hot and humid in south GA and our garden has already come in and on the way out. We have put up corn, peas, and hope to pick some tomatoes but haven't so far. I am just plain sorry. LOL Oh, we have also picked blueberries and plain on picking some tomorrow morning. I really enjoy eating them too. Have been eating fresh yellow squash, zucchini, bell peppers, and cucumbers too.

I am working on hand quilting a quilt for Childhood Cancer Auction this fall. If things go well, I hope to finish it within the next 2 weeks so that I can start on TOPS raffle quilt. 2 other members and I are going to make one for us to raffle off for our SRD fund. This past May we had 13 members go to SRD and I told our group we had better start earlier on our fund raising. I am just the treasurer of chapter but know what is needed.

I have not done much any real exercise today and have to get busy. I will just walk inside or do a walking Leslie Samsome tape--really love them and I have 4 different ones.
