Back at it again

I am a 62 year old woman - overweight, just retired. Feel like someone much much older, (who is also out of shape!!). Hard time walking, exercising. Eat out way too often for health and pocket book but it is convenient. I am a divorced widow. Have one daughter, one son-in-law and 3 beautiful grandchildren. Would like to stick around a while and watch them grow up.

Would like to stick around a while and watch them grow up.

OK so this is December 29, 2015 and AGAIN I have let the year slip by with no progress due to my laziness. I will say a lack of motivation will set me up for failure EVERY TIME and I have such a weak disposition. I lose 10 pounds, then I stall or something comes up that weakens my resolve and I blow it. So, earlier this month, I decided I was at the end of my rope and it was either fall off the rope and let whatever happen, happen OR I can go to the LAST RESORT help. I have decided on bariatric surgery. (you know, spell check would change bariatric to barbaric??) I am scheduled for a vertical sleeve gastorectomy on January 19, 2016. I have lost a total of 13 pounds since this decision was made on December 8, 2015.

As I said, this is my last resort. I have tried everything else it seems with no lasting success. I am weak. I am looking forward to eating healthier, smaller meals.

2016 will be THE MOST AWESOME YEAR EVER.

Post your daily affirmation: N.O.P.E. Not one puff ever! You can do it! emoticon

Way to go. Making a Healthy Choice. emoticon

Stay Warm! Lately when I start to get cold I march in place to get my blood moving. Then I usually bundle up with a blanket and take a nap! LOL! It was 39 degrees when I woke up. Cold for Florida! I allow myself a hot cocoa at night if it is too cold. So far I haven't put my heat on this winter. Hooray for hot flashes! LOL!

We will achieve our goals! May take time but we can do it! I have a lot of food allergies that make this tricky. I had to quit smoking when I got asthma. I took a deep breath before smoking a cigarette and another after. I could feel the difference. Maybe that will help you. Good Luck!
