Live and Learn
Hi all! My name is Leah. I'm a 27 year old teacher who is living in the UK. I am originally from Canada but moved over here in August 2006. I live with my wonderful fiancé and over the last two years I have made big changes in my life, health wise. I've always been an active person and constant dieter. What I didn't realize at the time was constant dieting meant constant yo-yo'ing and resulted in a very unhappy and unsatisfied me. I've been up and down on the scale. I am 5'8 ...
I am 5'8 and i've been from my highest of 180 (back in high school) to a lower weight of 132 in 2004. Last year I peaked at 168 and just knew that I had to make some changes or else yo-yo'ing would make me unhappy for the rest of my life. In June 2007 I realized I had to "get real" and make some changes. Obviously the constant obsessive calorie counting, restriction, diet foods and so on were not working so just before I turned 25 I started making slow changes. To make a long story short(er), I sit here now at 139 pounds and much healthier and happier. I have a healthy living blog that I use to track some of my meals, exercise and anything else that comes to mind! Check it out!! http://simplyfabulousnow.wordpress.com

My Goals:
I have finally made it to the 130s! I broke the plateau I was on for what felt like months! I'm going to keep trying to get to my goal of 132. I also want to continue to make healthy food choices at every meal keeping my daily calories between 1330-1680. I want to keep exercise a priority.
My Program:
Each meal is a chance to make choices that include nutritional food that will give me the energy to get through my day. Balance balance balance! ... and exercise! Burn those calories.
Other Information:
I teach Year 5. I love to cook and bake! I'm a Starbucks addict!!
