Hi Leah,
I have been trying to eat 40-30-30 and kinda failing here and there, ha. It's hard when you've been eating a lot of carbs & have to cut down. Today I did good, though.
I've been reading Jillian Michael's new book. It really explains why you shouldn't eat "non-foods" and how is messes up your metabolism/insulin/hormones. I like it, because she speaks like a human, and not in Dr-ish terms.
Pretty much, if it didn't come from the ground or have a mama, don't eat it. emoticon If it has ingredients that you cannot identify or pronounce, don't eat it. The longer it lasts on a shelf, the worse it is for you.... that sort of thing.
After every meal, I check my tracker pie thing, and see what i need more of at the next meal, so I can plan accordingly. [More fat, less protein, etc.]
I Googled & figured out, there are a lot of menu plans for the Zone diet, or the diabetic diet. That's how I sorta plan my menu, but I am kind of a rebel, and just can't let people tell me what to eat, so I tweak everything. emoticon
Also, I exercise 5-6 times a week to Jillian Michaels. I have 4 different workouts of hers, and rotate them so my body doesn't get used to them and plateau.

Hi Leah,
How are you doing? Sorry I've been out of touch. Are you getting yourself on track now that the holidays are over?

Friday is almost here and I am trying to figure out a healthy menu for shabbat. It's good that shabbat goes out very early because I have less time to mindlessly munch!

Hey Leah,
How are you doing? The holidays are almost over so will be able to get back on some kind of routine on Sunday. We were in Jerusalem Saturday night and did lots of walking. The Kotel and the Old City are beautiful at night.

Hi Leah,
I hope you had an easy fast. Are you doing anything special for Sukkot? We're going away for the weekend. I hope we'll have cool weather so it will be a pleasure sitting in the Sukkah. Usually we have a problem with the bees and the humidity!

How is the tracking going? I also stopped tracking on the computer because of time. I take a little pad to work and try to write everything down.
