I am still making progress on my journey. My weight fluctuates a bit but my commitment hasn't wavered. I am striving to learn what those who are maintaining know. I am aware of what I am doing, becoming more aware of the nutrition content of a wider variety of foods and beginning to understand that I need stricter parameters for my journey. Example. I caught myself in a back slide and immediately turned it around. Strangely, I didn't respond with harsh self criticism this time. That's progress.
On the other hand, had been better at monitoring my journey, I wouldn't have slide so far. The need for and value of close monitoring and a quick course correction response is clearly evident. Facing the scale numbers isn't as scary or negative as it was. It's just useful information that I can and should use to my benefit. Good lesson learned there.
