The Never Ending Journey

I started down the path of a healthier lifestyle about a year and a half ago. I began running (VERY SLOWLY) first a 1/4 of a mile, then a mile, then 3 and the next thing I knew I had ran ten miles in one session. I have managed to lose about 30 pounds and feel I have a solid 10 to go before I will be right in the middle of the recommended BMI range. I am almost at the high end of the healthy BMI right now and dont want to be so close to overweight.

I am in desperate need of a buddy/friend to share the journey with. My family has been supportive, but from a distance. They are not struggling with the same things and though they try its just not the same as having someone who really "gets it".

Hey how's everything going? I stopped doing my plank for a while and just started it back up again today and held it for 1 minute and 2 seconds. So I didn't lose too much time by not doing it. Now I just have to keep it up again!

Hehe! Good for you! I couldn't imagine army life! I have family in the military but it's cousins, not immediate family.
Thanksgiving wasn't bad, spent most of the day sleeping (I worked the night before), then was watching movies and sitting on my butt and eating good food! How was yours?
I've been kind of slacking this week, but I have a good excuse! I've had a cold and am still kind of shaking it off (is that a good enough excuse or do I need to come up with a more imaginative one? hehe!). Still keeping up with the planks (though the time fluctuates!), and been doing the squats but staying at 35 for now.
Good job on going to the gym and jogging, probably more than I would have done considering the excitement going on right now for you!
