Losing Lots 1 Last Time

I've been on this journey for quite a long time. I'm ready for it to be over and let the maintaining begin. HA..It does feel good to be going in the right direction again.

Jan 2010~ A new start

Starting over in 2010! I have lost lots of weight, but I'm still not where I want to be. I've been so close to my goal, only to backslide and have to start over. The holidays have not been kind, but I'm back on Sparkpeople, rejoining my teams, and I will make it work this time. ...

I'm Lisa 38 mom to 7 kids, I love them, but don't love what they've done to my body..lol


I've restarted the weightloss process after delivering my twins. I have journaled my months of 2008 so that I can see what I was able to accomplish or what I need to work on. I will be keeping track of my months for 2009 also. Watch me REACH MY GOAL THIS YEAR!!

I need to work on my food issues. I'm an overeater and an emotional eater. Those 2 things can sabatoge me quicker than anything else. I need to make life long changes in those 2 areas.

This will be the yr that I get to my goal weight, no more pg, so any weight I gain will be my own fault. Here's to a new me on the inside and outside.

*March 2008
I've managed to lose 25lbs since Jan 1st. I'm so excited. I am within 5lbs of my pre prego weight. How cool is that? I still have a long way to go, but I have come so far already. I've done really well with the emotional eating. I don't eat to suppress the emotions, which is a huge step. I think my stomach has shrunk a bit also, as I can't eat the large portions I used to be able to consume. I'm seeing changes both big and small, and its keeping me motivated to keep moving on.

*April 1st 2008
I am another yr older today. ACK! I never thought I would be 35 yrs old..lol I remember thinking that was so old and I would never be that age. And look at me now. Scarey.

I reached my monthly goal of being 180 by my b-day. I am 179.8 today.

*May 1st 2008
My May weight goal was 171. I guess you could say I kinda made it. lol I'm weighin in at 171.8 Just barely, but hey I will take it. I will be so glad to get out of the 170's they are really starting to get on my nerves. lol

I'm stepping up the exercise this month. Its 1 month till we are to be in FL, and I don't want to be FAT again this yr. I'm also putting off trying on and purchasing a swimsuit till I absolutely have to. I hope that I can reach my goal this month will an 8lb weight loss. If I can lose more that would be FANTASTIC! Here's to another month.

I've hurt my hamstring. OUCHIE! I'm having to take it easy and that's very frustrating right now.

I'm really struggling this month. I've gained 6lbs out of no where. Not sure what happened, but now I'm working on getting back down to where I was the end of April.

*June 2008
May was a really hard month for me. I didn't lose anything and did some gaining during this month. I think part of it may have been hormone/woman related, but who knows.

I've been doing quite well this month. We went to FL the first week of June and I ran everyday we were there. I only gained 2lbs which is great for me. We had a family reunion 2 weeks later for a long weekend and I gained 6lbs. ack. Lucky I knwo that I gain a lot of water when I eat carbs and sugar so I was able to get it off quickly.

I FINALLY broke out of the 170's this month. YAY! Its so good to see the 160's. I'm hoping this is a continuing trend and I'm able to lose the rest of the weight.

Its almost July so we will know in a few days how well I did in June.

*July 2008
My weight is finally going in the right direction, YAY! I was 168.0 on the first. I am kickin up the cardio even more this month. I'm going to workout 6 days a week instead of 5. I want to see 160 by Aug 1st, if possible. I'm really feeling good in my skin again. Though I have a ways to go, I am getting there.

*August 2008
Whew, its been a whirlwind of a summer, that's for sure. My weigh in today was so rewarding. I've really been doing what I can with my eating and its so good to see it pay off. I'm 3lbs from my goal, but that's ok. I went so many months going up and down, losing and gaining the same 7lbs over and over. I'm hoping to see the weight continue to go down this month. Wish me luck.

This is the month I break out of the 160's!!!!

*Dec 2008
Well I let myself slide Aug-Nov and now Im back up 10lbs. I am so frustrated with myself because I KNOW I can do better, and that I can lose the weight. I've lost it before. Its now more about what my body looks like than a number. THough I would love to be 140, I want to look lean and trim. I've decided to join a few new teams that focus on toning, and strength as well as eating right.

I want to be a good example of eating and exercise to my girls. I know that a lot of my issues with food and body image stem from my childhood.

My Program:
I'm back to tracking my calorie intake. That seems to be the only thing that works for me. Once I stray from that, its all over.

So tracking food. Continue with my cardio and also add in weight training!



Personal Information:
I'm Lisa from Henderson KY. I'm 38 yrs old and have 7 beautiful children.

I work partime at the local YMCA so I have access to a gym, which is great. No excuse for me.

But I also enjoy staying home with my children.

Other Information:
Going to add some weight training into the mix. Also going to try new things to make working out more interesting!

i was on here a while ago and got side tracted i am now the leader of two teams . the old stormin mormons i changed the name to put your shoulder to the wheel mormons. and an east tenn team. I guess i kinda feel a little out of place i have kids 30,28 and my older daughter who will be 27 in oct and my Katy girl who will be 2 tommorow..just me ginger
