Me and my honey, Scott, not long after we met. This man is the reason decided to get healthy and loose weight. I want to have a long and healthy life with him.





This was a sunset a few years ago, just 2 days after my birthday.





An approximation of my before & (hopefully) after. Not entirely acurate to my body type, but still I hope it will allow me to visualize the weight loss I am trying to achieve...one step at a time.

*sigh* A long row to hoe

Need to loose a lot of weight. I have trouble staying motivated and my eating habits tend to be ruled by mood and cravings.

Sometimes I feel as though I am clawing my way up a slippery slope. Other times I feel as though I am trying to run through quicksand. Changes do not come fast enough for me and I tend to get discouraged. It is that discouragement and my seemingly perpetual self-defitist attitude that has always stopped me in the past.

I am starting to feel a bit more optimistic and gung-ho. I have not lost much weight, and that frustrates me, but I still want to keep going. Maybe it is just that it is finally spring, it is not wicked cold outside anymore, almost all the snow is gone, and we are starting to see leaves. Or maybe something inside is starting to change. Maybe I am finally finding a bit of hope. I don't know, but I am going to try to hold onto this feeling and use it to keep going.

1. To get down to 145 lbs by December 2010.

3. To earn a blackbelt in a martial art.

My Program:
Basic overview of how I am hoping to do this:

One step at a time.

Trying to eat better on a regular basis. Tracking my calories. Found out that one of my problems may actually be that I just do not eat enough.

I am adding one new form of exercise at a time. I started with Yoga in the mornings. I added a pedal exerciser recently. Started weightlifting Friday.

Other Information:
This job is killing me. I have got to reduce my stress and focus on getting in shape.
