A 10 in '10!!

Weight loss/gain has always been a part of my life. I originally signed onto this site in early 2008 when a friend sent me an email about it. I was 205 lbs then. I signed up and left it at that....along with my weight.

As of January 2009 I weighed 225lbs. I gained 20 more lbs from when I originally signed on!! I was feeling horrible, physically and mentally. I joined a gym and started working out and ended up losing 15 lbs. I needed the extra motivation and the drive to ...

As of January 2009 I weighed 225lbs. I gained 20 more lbs from when I originally signed on!! I was feeling horrible, physically and mentally. I joined a gym and started working out and ended up losing 15 lbs. I needed the extra motivation and the drive to keep up the hard work that I've been putting into it.

I want LOSS to be the part to the rest of my life. I want to be healthy, fit, and energetic!

I want to keep going with what I've already started!!

I have a five-year plan which includes getting married, having children, and turning 30- all of which I want to feel and look my very best.

January 2010- I am back on Sparkpeople.com. I didn't completely fall off the wagon when I was off. I continued to work out on a daily basis although I wasn't tracking my food intake. I stopped losing weight from October until now because of that. So, since this has been a journey, this is what I have learned so far:

1) I underestimate the amount of food I'm eating. Even though I was eating all healthy food I was still eating too much. So, lesson 1: In order for me to be successful at my weight loss and keep if off, I must continue to track my food. Bottom line.

2) I have a more successful day when I work out in the mornings. I have realized my thought process throughout this journey when it comes to snacking. For example, 2pm on a day I worked out in the am, I see a cookie, I don't eat it because I don't want to sabatoge my efforts. Another day, 2pm, I plan on working out after work, I see a cookie, I eat it because I will just burn it off later. So, Lesson 2: I am more likely to eat better throughout the day if I exercise in the morning.
