When did I get to be old and so overweight???

I am a 43 year old mother of two preschoolers. My sweet baby boy is five, and my beautiful baby girl is nearly four. After years of trying to conceive and finally having babies, my body is a wreck! I've had more than enough time to get the weight off, but just haven't. After going to my class reunion last summer, I'm feeling worse than ever. My old high school friends look FAB while I just look FAT. Even worse, my husband is still talking about how hot some of them are!

As a result, I want to reach my goal weight by June 1, 2010. I'm setting some intermediate goals to hold myself accountable:

160 - by February 28, 2010 Reward = cute workout gear
150 - by March 31, 2010 Reward = new lingerie
142 - by April 30, 2010 Reward = new designer purse
134 - by May 31, 2010 Reward = new skinny clothes
132 - by June 7, 2010 Reward = new BIKINI (yep!)

My Goals:
I just want to get out of a double-digit pants size! I'd also like to find my long, lost sex drive; it's been missing since my baby girl was born.

My Program:
I have been on a "diet" for 43 years! I hate dieting. Instead, I'm just trying to drink more water and get more exercise. In September, I started going to the gym twice a week. My new goal for the new year is three days a week. I go with my friends and colleagues so it helps to stay motivated.

Personal Information:
My name is Laurie. I am married with two children. I live in Tennessee, and I teach high school.

Other Information:
I love to read anything with a southern setting, play Bunko with my friends, travel, shop, and laugh! I am a certified eBay junkie, and have recently developed a new addiction to Facebook. (I love seeing how much my high school friends have changed! :)

Mmmmm.... margaritas, chips, salsa and fajitas! You are speaking my language! Ha! Well I hope you enjoyed it. Sometimes you have to treat yourself every now and then. Of course, I don't recommend going into a free-for-all like I did this past weekend. I'm still recovering. As of this morning, I have one more pound to get back to my ticker number. Hopefully, it won't take too long get it off. (I'm only letting it visit).

Yep...we have had the exercise equipment coat rack's as well! I find that the hardest part is getting a consistent routine going and with kids...that is almost impossible! I know I feel better when I do work out...so let's keep each other motivated and lose this weight! There are some great Mom's on our team that keep me motivated and I am sure you will feel the same way.

Nice job being the first to the huddle this morning! What kind of workouts do you do? I like Prevention workouts by Chris Freytag. For some reason, she just clicked with me. I guess it is because I see her as my own age and she looks great!
