Aren't they sweet?? This was actually an attempt to squeeze each other to death!
Yippee! We're going to Walmart!
I am a 43 year old mother of two preschoolers. My sweet baby boy is five, and my beautiful baby girl is nearly four. After years of trying to conceive and finally having babies, my body is a wreck! I've had more than enough time to get the weight off, but just haven't. After going to my class reunion last summer, I'm feeling worse than ever. My old high school friends look FAB while I just look FAT. Even worse, my husband is still talking about how hot some of them are!
As a result, I want to reach my goal weight by June 1, 2010. I'm setting some intermediate goals to hold myself accountable:
160 - by February 28, 2010 Reward = cute workout gear
150 - by March 31, 2010 Reward = new lingerie
142 - by April 30, 2010 Reward = new designer purse
134 - by May 31, 2010 Reward = new skinny clothes
132 - by June 7, 2010 Reward = new BIKINI (yep!)
Wih me luck, and let's see how I do!
I just want to get out of a double-digit pants size! I'd also like to find my long, lost sex drive; it's been missing since my baby girl was born.
I have been on a "diet" for 43 years! I hate dieting. Instead, I'm just trying to drink more water and get more exercise. In September, I started going to the gym twice a week. My new goal for the new year is three days a week. I go with my friends and colleagues so it helps to stay motivated.
My name is Laurie. I am married with two children. I live in Tennessee, and I teach high school.
I love to read anything with a southern setting, play Bunko with my friends, travel, shop, and laugh! I am a certified eBay junkie, and have recently developed a new addiction to Facebook. (I love seeing how much my high school friends have changed! :)

Hey, cutie-pie. I'm an older mom, too, but not inside--inside I'm still 29. (In fact, I think I'll stay there.) Love your blogs! And thank you so much for commenting on mine. xoxo!

Hi! I too, popped by to read more about you after you posted your awesome blog and how you gained a different perspective from listening to the sermon this morning! Thank you for sharing! Our pastor thumped me (figurtively) on the head this morning during our church service by "encouraging" the congregants to "Grow Up!" And he indicated that reliance on God is just the beginning. More is required of us, but according to 2 Peter 1:5, there's a step-by-step approach to be who we are meant to be. Peter first encourages us to "make every effort to add to your faith, goodness and to goodness, knowledge and to knowledge, SELF-CONTROL and to self-control, PERSEVERANCE..." I found that very inspiring, so thought I'd pass this along to you. Hope you're feeling better! HANG IN THERE!

Hi I read your blog today and so popped by your spark page and just had to say thank you for making me giggle. Looked at the picture of your 2 cuties and laughed out loud at your comment about squeezing each other to death. I remember that phase when my 2 were little. You are so lucky to have teeny weenies at home, i really miss those days - but maybe i do have my rose tinted glasses on. Have a fun day xx

My cholesterol is down to 167...woo-hoo! And my LDL (the bad one) was down considerably too. No meds for me. My doc told me that vigorous exercise really helps with the cholesterol.
