I hope you all are feeling good and speaking life into your weight loss/health goals.
Just an update:
I have been standing firm at 300lbs. Am I happy with this? Yes and No. I have learned so much about my body, how it responds to various kinds of food as well as various kinds of physical activity. On the other hand, as always...Iím ready to be a more fit, healthier and smaller me! To be very honest, I am much healthier then I was when I started this journey in 2009. I make healthier choices in portion, and kinds of food I put in my body. To be even more honest with you loves, I'm so happy with that fact alone that I am more encouraged then ever. This truly is a lifestyle change; not a quick fix. My time has freed up a bit, so Iíll be updating you guys weekly on my progress. Although I disappeared from the blogs and message boards, I still utilized SP resources such as the calorie/food tracker and the SP recipes site. Family Iím doing well and Iím here to stay! Look forward to meeting new people and catching up with my SP OGs. :)

Yes, it is I, Vanessa and I am back for the millionth time, lol. I know youíre wondering why Iím laughingÖand itís because Iíve been told time after time that nothing was going to change until I was ready! So, now I can honestly sayÖIím ready. I AM MY OWN HINDRANCE, MY OWN BARRIER AND THE ENTITY PREVENTING ME FROM TRULY BEING HAPPY WITH ME!
But no more. Iíve made detrimental changes in my life over the past 4 months. The Lord has blessed me with a new job, home and car. I went from have not to have got. Now I am on a journey to prepare, apply to and begin Law School. The only box on my list that hasnít been checked is: Lose 130 pounds.
It feels great to be back. I am still trying to reach my goal weight and am nowhere near finish. However, I won't give up. I was laying in bed looking out the window. I sat reflecting on all the goals I had accomplished this year and the struggles that I overcame. I have evolved in everyway possible except in the physical sense. So today that changes. I will walk until I have no activity in my lims. I will swim until I'm numb and I will move until breath leaves my body. My goal isn't to lose weight effortlessly but live meaningful through healthy choices and conscious decisions. I have made my desicion. The only thing left to do is MOVE!
Sooooo, I have maintained my current weight of 324-330..lol but I have def learned how to cut my portions in half...I have also learned how to choose better foods, SO now, I am focusing on my level of physical activity. My mother-in-law to-be gifted me with the The Body Gospel Workput and it is awesome! My church is starting a 21 day fast today...I am really hoping to attain not only physical break through but spiritual as well. I should have some great news for you guys in 21 days... ILL COME BACK AND UPDATE YOU GUYS ON FEB 6TH!

Time flyyysssss! and I haven't kept up with my weight-loss schedule :0( Although I haven't kept up with my original goals, I haven't relapsed! That is a major plus for me...I'm changing my lifestyle. I have also decided to change things up a bit as far as my weight-loss tracker. In addition to exercising 6 days a week for at least an hour including weight training, I am giving myself more time to loose weight. There is no reason for me to rush...as long as I keep moving, the weight has to go somewhere, right?! :0)
I am honestly starting to believe several small goals will eventually get me to my loonngg term goal of losing 160lbs!
I'm so glad you stopped by. I'm going to keep this short and sweet because I'm really excited about this website and I haven't had much time to look around lol...
I'm 25 years old...motivated...focused...and ambitious. It seems the only thing I haven't been able to accomplish with hast is LOSING WEIGHT. I've finally reached a point in my life where I learned to love me...the person. They certainly weren't lying when they said no matter what changes you make, you have to love and respect yourself to TRULY be happy. This made it really easy to come to the realization that I NEED TO LOOSE WEIGHT! I love living, and I'd like to be here for while...so I STOPPED making excuses and am going to make it happen! I'M SO READY!
I would love to meet any and everyone, as I love meeting new people. What better way is there to reach your goals than with people who are enduring the same trials and tribulations?

Hi, I'm sorry it has taken me like a month to get back to you! I haven't been on here in forever! "Obviously right!" lol But, my hair regimen is going pretty well now. Although I did have a setback a few months ago..I don't know if you've watched The Real Housewives Of Atlanta. But, there is this woman on there named Kenya Moore and she has the most amazing color in her hair! Sooooo being a fruitcake!..lol I decided to "try" and color my hair! Big Mistake!!! Thankfully I only did the front so my length in the back was untouched! Which is good b/c I'm now waistlength and if I had of lost all that progress I would have lost it!..lol
As for my hair regimen it's really simple:
Everyday I co-wash my hair with Hello Hydration Conditioner. Once I get out of the shower, I'll apply my conditioner leave in mix. Which is Hello Hydration mixed with water, and Glycerin. This leaves my hair really soft! After I do that I seal my hair with Virgin Coconut oil. I moisturize my hair at least twice a day. I really don't do protective styles and my hair seems to grow just fine without keeping it up all the time! On Sunday's I do my Deep Condition. I first wash my hair with a sulfate free shampoo and then once I'm done with that I get out and apply my protein. I put on a plastic cap then I get under the dryer for 20 mins. Then hop back in the shower and rinse that out and I apply my moisturizing conditioner, Back under the dryer again for 20 more mins. Then rinse that out in the shower. After that I moisturize and seal. It seems like a lot but, once you get use to it it's really not! lol And, when I first started my hair journey I really wanted long hair so I was determined to stick with it! And this really works b/c when I first started my hair journey my hair was Neck length! So consistency def pays off! Good luck and keep me updated on your progress!

Hey sweetie, how are you?! I've been pretty well, I don't log in as much on here but I like to keep it updated bc this is what got me started :) Just wish sp had a better app bc I'm always on my phone. I track everything on an app called myfitnesspal.. you've probably heard of it its pretty popular. If u have an account or create one add me csmith1289. It has everything imaginable when it comes to tracking food. Hope to hear from u soon :)
